Well, I called a few minutes ago to check on registration status, and was informed that the race may be full by the middle of June! That kind of scared me, so I went ahead and signed up! :scared1: I really wanted to wait until I had a few more weeks under my belt so I could be more confident that I could actually do the 1/2 marathon, but I guess there's no turning back now!
I estimated my finish time at 3:00, feeling that I can do either a few minutes under or over that by January. My question is, what does that mean for me as far as corral placement goes? How many corrals have there been, and does that mean I won't be in the last one? Just curious. Thanks!

Congratulations on registering for the Half! :thumbsup2 Last year was my first half and I think I guestimated my time at 3:15. I was put in Corral F (there were two more corrals after that). I don't know if it made a difference that I registered in January, maybe some of our more experienced WISHers can help.
Anyway, glad you are now official!!

I put down 3:00 for both this year and last year. Last year I was placed in corral E. It still took about 15 minutes to get to the start line, but it was nice to have the cushion of folks behind us to help keep the sweepers away ;)

OMG! I knew the Goofy was close to being closed - but I didn't think the Half would be closing soon also! :scared1:
I better get my butt in gear and send in my registration, huh?

As far as I know, they corral you with people who say they are going to do roughly the same time as you (which is why you have to provide proof for the faster ones) - so you'll be in with the 3.00 crowd, which is unlikely to be the last corral - lots of people aiming to come in at 3.29!

How many corrals are there? I estimated that my marathon finish time to be 5:00 (my best half was 2:09). I'm never done a marathon before (NYC in November will be my first!) so I don't quite know what to expect!
Does everyone move pretty quickly to the starting line?
