My DD received this clock as a gift from her great gandmother. I am trying to find out more about it. From what I know it was bought at either Disney Land the year of it's opening or Disney World the year it opened. She wasn't sure which since she was there for both occasions. I have done search after search on the internet trying to find out about it with no luck. Maybe someone here could either shed some light on it or point me in the right direction. TIA!

I just wanted to say that the clock is beautiful.
Is there a copyright with "Disney" on it anywhere?? If so......exactly what does it say?? Most Disney items can be dated by their copyright mark.

Thank you! There is a sticker on the back and wording inside the clock I will have to look tomorrow to see if I can make it out.
OT  I am from RI too!

:scratchin Ok I am confused. There are no Disney marks on the clock whatsoever. I double checked and Great Grandma and said she is sure she got it at one of the Disney Parks. Still not sure which one though. Are there places in any of the parks that may sell non Disney items or could it have been on a sticker that may have simply fell off over the years? I have tried going on the web sites of the makers Linden (the clock face) and Tact Win Industrial Co. LTD. with no luck. The Tact Win item # is 358-1S if that may help any Disney collector. It is a beautiful clock and I just want to find out more about it. Thanks for any help!

I'm not sure. Even the early park items that I am familiar with have some kind of Disney mark.
If Dave (flyinglizard) stops in.......he might know.

It should be marked "Walt Disney Productions" if it's from the era you say. Look at the bottom and the back of the clock. If it's Disney, it will definitely be marked somewhere.

Nope... I don't know!
But yeah, both parks have always sold stuff that's not "made by Disney for Disney". Especially Disneyland in the early years.
I suspect that the clock is battery powered and that the castle and crystal are made of plastic. If that's true, I'd guess the clock came from the early WDW days. Although Linden is over 50 years old (just like DL), if I am right on the power and construction, you can probably rule out July 17, 1955. The plastic crystal would be amber by now...
It's a great piece, but not really a "Disney theme park" collectible since it does not have the Disneyland or WDW logos. Although you might not get a bid on eBay, the fact that your daughter can say, "this has been in my family for years. It belonged to my great grandmother and she got it when WDW first opened... she loved it and wanted me to have it..."
...priceless!!!

I've seen similar clocks in the Japan section of EPCOT, maybe someone there may know.

You got it! It is plastic and has 2 battery ports. I am not going to sell it I would actually love to have my grandaughter (someday) have it from her mommy and so on and so forth. I was just trying to find out a little more about it. Either way it's priceless to us :) . Thank you all for your responses :thumbsup2 I guess the mystery of it will just add to the way we feel about it.
