How adaptable are the vacation club payments?

My husband and I were looking over the Disney vacation club tonight. We are deciding between the 170 pts and 200 pts. I like the monthly payments of the 170 pts but at this time I could afford the 200 pts downpayment. Can I have a downpayment on the 200 somewhere between 50% and 20% and get the monthly payments of the 170 pt plan? Or does the down payment need to be either 20% or 50%?

well here's a premature Welcome Home. Good decision.
You can put down 28½% if you'd like. They'll just base the payment on the amount borrowed.

You can't go wrong with either total, but I have yet to see a post here that says "We have too many points". :smooth:


If you run a search on the words "add on", you will see that most of us dream of adding points and many have done just that.

Of course, you need to do what is financially right for you. Good luck on your DVC decision this weekend.

hi: if you are able, you can also make additional payments toward the principal of the loan. just contact member accounting.
