Universal TIckets Consecutive days ???

I have some ticket questions:

I plan on purchasing a 2 day/2 park ticket. I will also get 3 days free and the website says I have to use them consecutively. Our plan is just to do Universal for 3 days. Can I divide the 3 days up over the 5 days? For example, lets say I use my first ticket on Sunday, 2nd ticket on Monday, and my 3rd ticket on Thurs? WIll this work I'm assuming I would have to use all my tickets by Friday right? Can I also hop from between the two parks?

Yes, you can do this. If you first use your ticket on a Sunday, the last day you can use it will be Thursday.

We had the AAA Buy 2 get 1 free ticket and they had to be all used within 7 days of the first activation. We ended up only using 2 days (one each park) as the lines were bad and we finished all the rides in each park each day.

We could of went on the first day then then 4th day and then the 7 day if we wanted to but we chose to go back 2 back days.
