PBH suite questions - July 4th

Portofino suite questions...

- Located on the West, East side or both?
- Garden view, Bay view or both?

Is it worth it to go for July 4th?

I have requested that my suite be in the West Wing. I will have Bay View. I will be checking in on 7/6.

IMGB40, there resort told me there is only 1 Portofino Suite and that is gardenview, so how did you get a bayview?

I believe there are 12 Portofino suites at PBH. Some have garden views while others have bay views. Remember garden view rooms in the west wing have beach pool views. They are located in both the the East and West guest wings. Definitely request the West wing though. None have balconies but a couple have first floor patios. The one I stayed in for about five minutes before being upgraded to a Hospitality suite was at the far end of the West wing with a patio. The view was not very good and the parlor smelled of cigarettes.

How did you get the upgrade to the Hospitality suite?

A manager came out to greet me when I arrived at the hotel. The room smelled like cigarettes when we entered and I called the desk. The same manager answered the phone. I explained the situation and he said there was a hospitality parlor available if I wanted to move. Without hesitation I quickly replied "YES, PLEASE!" I have received a Hospitality suite upgrade on each of my three stays since then. They are gigantic!
