Well i'm back!! I've finally plucked up the courage to return & start over!
Way back in 2004 i managed to lose 28lbs on a low carb diet for my trip to WDW but after almost 4 weeks out there i put most of it back on!!
Well i'm finally motivated to try again being as we are going back to WDW in October & i'm getting married out there. :teeth:
I started the low carb diet about 6 weeks ago, found it more difficult this time round though, i struggled to lose 7lb in that time, then about 3 weeks ago i plucked up the courage to go back to the gym & in that 3 weeks i have lost another 5lb!! So theres no getting away from the fact that i need to exercise to lose weight :guilty:

Tonight we are going out for dinner as my sister in law is 40 today
(i have that to look forward to in July :sad2: ) I dread eating out, so please wish me luck & hopefully i will post something positive tomorrow.
Oh & its weigh in day tomorrow - i am going to weigh myself Tuesday & Friday mornings (gym days ;) )

Well i weighed myself yesterday & have put on 4lb !!!!
So feeling a bit disheartened, went to the gym last night, it is that time of the month so i suppose that could have something to do with it but 4lb seems a lot!!!
I had a small baked potato with salad at SIL meal, healthy but not low carb!! All though i am allowing myself 1 potato a week & strawberries so not too bad.
Yesterday i had atkins breakfast bar, chicken salad for lunch & tuna/prawn omlette for dinner.
At work at the moment had salad for lunch, but 2 birthdays today - lots of goodies in the staff room!! Had about 4 doritos!
We are out for dinner tomorrow evening as we break up for half term (we always eat out on the last Thursday before each term finishes) This is not an easy week!!!!

Keep up the good work.

Finally found time to report back!!!
Well the 4lb came off again, must have been down to that time of the month!!!
Been reasonably good with eating, i did have a red pepper lasagne at the weekend when we ate out, but didnt enjoy it - mostly due to the fact i couldnt find any red pepper in it!! Just lasagne & tomato sauce, so i ate those carbs for nothing!! I think it did me a favour though *** next time i'm tempted i will remember how i didnt enjoy it & how guilty i felt afterwards :)
Went to gym yesterday & worked out for 2 hours - 30 mins treadmill, 30 mins cross trainer, 30 mins bike & about 30 mins weights concentrated on arms.
I can feel it today!!!
Had a go at baking at the weekend too!! I made cheese bread with soya flour yummy & low carb brownies from a bake packet i bought from the internet off a low carb food site, they are yummy too!! I actually ordered about $100 worth of low carb foods, spagetti, tortillas (brill, used as pizza bases too), chocolate, sweets, crispbread. Had some sugar free toffee popcorn when we went to see Da Vinci Code yesterday tasted lovely.
It is almost impossible to buy low carb products here in the UK or even sugar free for that matter! so the internet is the only way.
Got some other bake mixes that i havnt tried yet - muffin mix & pancake mix :)
I have struggled with the US measurements half a CUP!! How much is a cup???? i think i've just about worked it out right :thumbsup2
Sorry if i've waffled on, will report back Friday after weigh in :sunny:

Welcome Back, Tracy! And congrats on the upcoming wedding!

A cup is basically 16 ounces. I"ve found a couple of good online conversion sites through google in the past that will convert just about any measurement. You might google cup to ?? and see.

Have a great rest of the week!

Congrats on taking the 4 lbs back off!

Your mixes sound great. Good luck with the conversions. After studying conversions in school, DD's are sure the US needs to convert to metric - it is so much easier, mommy!

Thanks for stopping by my journal and have a great rest of the week!

Hi all, just a quicky as i'm at work!!!
We had a week off school last week, i wasnt really good but not really bad either!!! Anyway weighed myself Tuesday - not lost any but not gained either so i'm happy with that.
I have gone down a dress size!! :) so thats good news
Weather really hot at moment, i went to the gym Tuesday but it was hard work, but i thought its better to go & do a liittle than none at all right??

No gain is always good and definitely every little bit of exercise helps. Sometimes I have to remind myself that just because I can't do a full workout doesn't mean I should do NO workout.

Congrats on going down a dress size. That is awesome! (insert happy clippie here except the boards right now!)

Sorry i've not posted here or on anyones thread for a while, dont seem to have time for anything at the moment!!!
Had to go to hospital last week (womens problems) had a bad time there, the doc there didnt seem to know what he was doing & was very rough, ended up having a procedure done called cryocautery, but he seemed to think it wouldnt work!! They dont seem to know what it is & appear to want to wash there hands of me as they have ruled out its nothing life threatening, which i am glad about - although he did say that sometimes smears can miss something but when i asked if i should have another one he said no!!!
Trouble is this has been going on 2 years now & is effecting my quality of life & my relationship with my fiance, we are getting married in November & i really wanted it sorted before then. Got to wait 4 weeks now, i will go back to my doctor if i'm no better, he is very good.
Thanks for letting me let off some steam, i am at work now & have to dash but i will try & catch up on everyones posts this evening, hope you are all doing well.
Wieght still the same, which i'm happy with as i havnt been really good (or really bad though either!) Football world cup fever over here in the UK!! Lots of barbeques & wine!!!

Hello there,

First sorry to hear of the women troubles that you are having. Although as you stated at least it's not life threatening. Hopefully they will be able to fix this before the wedding and everything will work out for you. :grouphug:

Keep up the good work!!! Have a great day!

Finally went to gym tonight, not been for 2 weeks!!!
Just realised its 8.15pm & i've not eaten since 12.15pm!!!
Breakfast - Atkins choc chip breakfast bar, 1 cup of decaf earl grey
Lunch - mexican chicken salad, strawberries
Dinner - water!!!!

DD (age 11) was crying tonight she says she is being picked on at school & wants to change schools. She is being called 'freak', saying she has dandruff (she hasnt!!), picking on her hair etc. It appears to be one girl but Leanne is upset *** she says her friends arnt sticking up for her & she was upset because this girl invited some children to a barbique last night & didnt ask Leanne. If she moves school it will happen there too, children can so cruel, Leanne is the youngest in her year & looks younger than her class friends, she is going on a 4 day trip with school in 2 weeks i will worry about her! Any advice on how to handle this???

CACruisin'
06-20-2006, 07:56 AM
Girls this age can be absolutely vicious. Just be there for your DD and always let her know she is wonderful and special. Does she have one or two special friends? Talk to her teacher and see if they can be assigned to the same small group on the trip. Also see if the ringleader can be assigned to a different group. Maybe when school's out, the ringleader will find someone else to pick on. My second DD is also the youngest in her class. It is a hard role to be in.

traceycooper
06-20-2006, 11:04 AM
DD got upset this morning, i had a talk to her friend kerry about the girl who is upsetting Leanne, it appears this girl is friends with kerry & doesnt like leanne *** she is also kerrys friend!!
Got a phone call from school today saying DD wants to come home she said she wasnt feeling well, i explained the situation & asked to speak to the head of house, he callled back after speaking to leanne & said that he would speak to the girl.
Just got home & picked DD up, she said they have sorted it out now & she seems ok!!!
I have had a lousy day worrying about her & she comes home as if nothing happened!!!
Kids eh?? Glad she seems ok now though.
I had some chocolate cake in the staff room *** i was so stressed, but it was only a tiny piece!
breakfast - atkins choc chip bar, cup of decaf earl grey
lunch - mexican chicken salad, strawberries, water
dinner - not decided yet
(managed to eat 2 crispbreads & some sugar free chocolate last night!!)

Hi Tracey!

It is frustrating when the scale doesn't budge when you are doing everything right. It will move down again though. Just keep doing what you are doing. How much water are you drinking? Sometimes adding water helps.

Weighed in today & lost 2 lbs :) Dont know how i did it, as i was quite naughty over the weekend!! Curry Friday night, fries Saturday, Barbi Sunday & lots of alcohol on all those nights!!!
I'm hitting the big 4 0 on Saturday & last weekend was a girls night out (fancy dress!!)
We had a great night, i dressed up as a gypsy!!
Off for a Tai meal on Saturday with family & friends to 'celebrate' (yeah right!!) my 40th. Dont know if you can get anything low carb!!!
So i'm trying to be good all week - so far so good, just worried that last weekend will catch up with me on the scales next week!!!
Ate out last night as it was my god daughter/nieces 16th birthday but i did have a salad & i went to gym :)
Will catch up with everone later, hope your all doing well & thanks for the (much needed) support :)

Thanks for the birthday wishes :grouphug:
I always get depressed on my birthday & having it & being 40 means i'm double depressed!!
Had a hectic day yesterday, went on a school trip to Chatsworth House with 60, 5-6 year old children!!! (apparently they filmed 'Pride & prejudice' there with Kiera Knightly!!) Beautiful place!
Only thing that spoilt it was that another TA (teaching assistant) who i know doesnt like me went!! I havnt got a clue what i've done to make her dislike me so much, but i hate the atmosphere it causes & i've got to work with the woman in September!! Most of the time i dont let it bother me, but it really gets me down when she is around me, as otherwise i love my job. I dont like confrontation & tend to 'bury my head in the sand' & hope the problem will go away! Doesnt look like that is going to happen though!
Oh well off on another trip tomorrow & shes not going
We are going to a small theme park taking 60, 8-9 year olds this time!! Good weather forcast too, just have to resist the ice creams & other goodies ;)
Food for today:
Breakfast - atkins breakfast bar, decaf earl grey
lunch - mexican chicken salad, strawberries, bit of water!
(& yes if you havnt already guessed this is my fav meal!!)
Dinner - small baked potato with cheese & chicken & bacon,
can of dry cider (sorry, that woman got to me & i needed to
unwind!!) big bag of sugar free cola bottles (zero carbs!! - honest!)

CACrusin - think you might be right about the water, i feel i deffinatly need
to drink more! Will try :)

Hi all,
Well i survived my 40th!!!
Got a beautiful mickey necklace from DH (to be!!)
Not done too bad with my eating, but not so good with alcohol!!!
DD has gone on 4 day trip to the coast with school today, not back till Thursday evening, i'm missing her already!
Heat wave warning has been issued for this week (a rare thing in the UK!!)
Hope everyone had a good weekend :)

CACruisin'
07-06-2006, 04:31 PM
Glad you made it through your 40th! I relish the time I get when the kids visit my parents, but I miss them too. DD will be home before you know it! At least it will be cool for her on the coast. Good Luck with the heat. Y'all aren't set up well for that kinda stuff! :sunny:

traceycooper
07-08-2006, 12:00 PM
DD had a good time.
Heat Wave came & went in the blink of an eye!!!
Lost 1 lb :) That puts me at 161 lb now I have lost 14 lb altogether :)
Went on a hen night last night (not mine!), we all wore matching t-shirts & cowboy hats, feeling very tired now!! My hen night is in 3 weeks away, tickets have come, i'm looking forward to it :) Cant remember if i said but its a 1 night cruise!!

CACruisin - you are right, we are not prepared for heatwaves!! Or anything else come to think about it!! It snows a couple of millimetres & the whole country comes to a stand still!! A bit a rain - we flood, & wind....trees in the road for days!!!!! :)

I'm very very sorry i've not had time to see how you are all getting on, on your journals, we are late for a barbique right now as i type!!! I will try & check in before work on Monday. Have a good weekend :)

Congrats on the 1 lb loss and 14 lbs overall!! :cheer2:

Glad DD had a good time and the heat wave is done. We are spoiled weather wise in SoCal and we know it. I didn't grow up here, but I have definitely grown to love most of it. Major complaints if the temp goes outside the comfort zone (70-78 degrees F :rotfl2: ) but we have A/C to handle it. Lots of wind causes wildfires :sad2: . It wouldn't dream of snowing here - anything below 70's means we pull out sweaters and long pants! It rains so little here that drivers don't know what to do when the roads get wet. I swear I think people get hypnotized by their windshield wipers!

hen night = bachelorette party? What fun to do a 1 night cruise!

Have a good weekend!

Well ended up leaving the bbq early as DD wasnt feeling well, then at 2 am she was crying with stomach pain, couldnt walk, I asked her if she thought it might be trapped wind she said no so after an hour we ended up taking her to the hospital, nothing worse than A&E on a saturday night - full of drunken people!!! Then she tells me she has broken wind & starts to get better!!! By the time the doctor arrives to see her at 4.30 am she is fine, got to bed at 5am!! Glad it was nothing serious though i would sooner do that all again than it be anything worse :) bless her!!
Off on a school trip tomorrow to the coast, so hoping for some decent weather, taking 60 yr 6 children (ages 10 - 11) wont get back till late so it will be a long day but hopfully fun!!!
Went a bit mad clothes shopping this weekend, but its so much fun to get into a smaller size :) Need to start saving seriously now though wedding gown, florida & WDW
tickets have all got to be paid for by next month...gulp...better hide those reciepts or there wont be a wedding :)
Have a good week everyone

Had a good day at the coast yesterday, we played cricket on the beach & went to the fair :)
Didnt do too well with the eating, but when i got home the 'twist & step' machine i ordered had arrived so did a quick session on that as i felt so bloated!!
Breakfast - atkins choc chip breakfast bar, decaf earl grey, bacon cob (on route to coast!!)
lunch - low carb bread sandwich, cheese slices, diet coke,
sausage roll (NOT low carb!)
dinner - battered fish & chips (from chip shop - definatly NOT low carb!!)

Today:
breakfast - atkins bar, decaf earl grey
lunch - mexican chicken salad, strawberries
dinner - low carb fatijas - pizza style with pepperoni & cheese

07-12-2006, 10:11 PM

Went to see pirates of the carribean 2 last night! Really enjoyed it :)
Went to gym straight after work so when i got home only had time to jump in the shower & then straight out to the movies, so i didnt have any dinner!!
I had some sugar free popcorn at the movies (bought off internet!) yummy!!
But when i went to bed about 11pm last night i had terrible dioreah (sorry i know thats spelt wrong!!) didnt get back to bed till 1 am - couldnt get off the toilet!!!!
So i dont know if it was the popcorn or going to gym & not eating properly!!! or both!!
DD is off to the coast with my parents this weekend, so i'm planning on lots of relaxation :)

lovinaz
07-13-2006, 02:30 PM
You have certainly been busy since I've been on vacation! I know some sugar-free stuff can have a laxative effect (especially the sugar-free chocolates), maybe that is what was bothering you?

Sounds like you are doing great and getting lots of exercise in. Congrats on your loss so far. Keep it up! :thumbsup2

Had a look at the sugar free pop corn packet & it does say can cause a laxative effect, proberbly *** i ate it on an empty stomach!!!
Well i weighed in on Friday & another lb off - although i have bought some new scales!!
Had a bad weekend though, having the period from hell!!! Was awake at 4am in agony with stomach cramps, the tablets doc gave me didnt work either!!! I am going to have to go back, it totally wipes me out - dizzy, headaches, no energy, lots of pain! Its really getting me down! Doc wants me to try having a coil fitted, dont like the thought of it, but dont really know enough about it really, cant carry on like this though so will proberbly have to give it a try.
Any advice ???
DD had a good weekend at the coast
Weather is boiling again & another heatwave warning has been issued, could hit all time record of 37 on wednesday ... & thats sports day & i'm the one who has to stand at the end & pick 1st,2nd, 3rd & 4th places!
Its 30 today, shouldnt complain, just wish i didnt have to work in it :)
Had a small burger & chocolate ice cream yesterday but been ok today
breakfast - atkins bar, earl grey
lunch - mex/chk salad & strawberries.. my diet is really boring!!
dinner - low carb pasta with tuna & tomato...felt like my body needed it!!
Drank lots of water *** its so hot!!

CACruisin'
07-17-2006, 03:24 PM

We're having fish & chips (fries) today too!! No children in school we are just in to sort the classrooms for September.

Still hot!!! Someone told me that there is a severe heatwave in the US can anyone confirm?? & where??
Getting a bit worried about our trip...hurricanes, i thought mid October would be ok but the longer i dont hear of any the more i think there waiting for me!!!! Just dont want our flight delayed or cancelled!!!!
Feel really tired & bloated today, hope that 6 lb has stayed off when i have my 'official' weigh in tomorrow!
Went to a friends yesterday afternoon for a (another!!) bbq, had 1 burger on a cob then 2 more burgers without the bread & a sausage, everyone else had cheesecake for dessert & i had a bowl of strawberries, didnt mind one bit *** i LOVE strawberries, but it felt good to be in control :) Did have a bottle of wine & some spicy chilli crisps (chips) though!!
Today:
breakfast - atkins bar, earl grey
lunch - low carb pepperoni pizza & water, made me feel a bit sick though!!!
dinner - not had any yet, might have a bowl of strawberries, it just feels too hot to cook or eat!!

Going for a meal tomorrow evening (neighbours b/day) & off on my hen night Saturday (cruise) so might not get back on till sunday/monday!!
Lots of opportunity for going off the rails!! The cruise is all you can eat whilst onboard......gulp
Plz send some positive vibes to stop me going mad :)
Will at least try & post weigh in tomorrow.
Have a good weekend everyone

Wow, what restraint choosing strawberries instead of cheesecake! I can never pass up cheesecake. Ever. :rolleyes1

Just because you CAN eat everything and anything on your cruise doesn't mean you SHOULD. Pick a couple things you want to try and just have a taste of them. You can eat lots of stuff as long as it is only 1-2 bites of each. You can make good choices! :cheer2:

Yes, there is a heat wave here in the US, nationwide. I live in Arizona, so it is hot here every summer, but other places where it is usually not hot have really been sweltering the last couple weeks.

WTG resisting the cheesecake :woohoo: . So sorry it is still hot there. Yes, we are also having a bad heatwave pretty much everywhere in the country - not good. Usually heatwaves in CA only last for a few days, but this one has been going on for almost two weeks.

Have a wonderful time at your cruise! Just ask yourself if the bite your about to eat is worth the calories. If it is not super yummy, then don't eat it. If it is scrumptuous, then portion control.

Well i'm back! Had a great time, but kept comparing it to DCL!!!! Which is the only other cruise i've done...I;ve been spoilt!!
Feel like i've put 14 lb on!!!
Was pretty good to start with for lunch i had chk/mushrooms in a sauce with a bit of rice & some cheese, salami & beef (strange combo i know!!!) NO DESSERT - only because i didnt really like any of them :)
BUT then later in the afternoon i had some fries & a couple of pieces of pizza!! This was of course after the alcohol had kicked in!
Evening meal - ceaser salad, beef & sorry guys...cheesecake BUT it was only a small piece.
THEN after more alcohol we went to the midnight buffet & i had chk curry, fries & a slice of pizza!!
Breakfast today - couple of slices of bacon with tomatoes & lots of fruit juice & tea!!!
Lunch - very small baked potato.
Now the alcohol - if i type it fast perhaps it wont sound so bad!!
3 bottles of wine (shared) 1 mai tai, 1 singapore sling, 3 strawberry daquiris & 4 'celebration' cocktails!!! & i have a horrible feeling there may have been more cocktails that i cant remember!!!
Major detox this week!!! That is after i've caught up on the sleep i never got!!!
Hope everyone has had a good weekend :)

I'm feeling a little depressed today, about our trip/wedding
My parents have never been to WDW or the US for that matter, & i'm sooo looking forward to showing them everything
Then i here that the castle at MK will be boarded off as they are taking the decorations down :(
Now i've been told that ASMo (where we stay week 1) fantasia pool is going to be closed :( DD will be upset & i was looking forward to seeing mum & dads face when they walked through the doors outside to the pool!!
They say you can use quite pools or other pool at ASMu, but i'm so dissapointed!
We booked through a TA & my parents booked through a different company so if we try to change our hotel & mum trys one of us may get it but not the other & i know the TA will charge us for wanting to change the booking :(
Spoke to mum this morning i think we will wait till we arrive at ASMo & ask to change then, just worried they wont have any room left anywhere!!!

Hi Tracey~

I have a suggestion for you.... Why don't you go to the Disney World website and check availability for the resort that you want... If it shows availability, then you and your mom should be able to switch resorts with no problem. Or you could call Disney directly and tell them what the problem is. I'm sure they'll be able to transfer both reservations for you. The only thing is that if you have connecting rooms at ASMo, you may not be able to get connecting rooms at the other resort. Does your travel agent charge you for changing resorts? My agency doesn't charge any fees.

I hope that everything works out Tracey. The good thing is that you do have some time to get everything straightened out.

Have a great day! :sunny:

I know it's disappointing when things aren't going to be absolutely perfect for your trip, but try to focus on the positive. If this is your parents' first time to WDW, I bet they will be WOWed with everything and the little things won't matter. Try to see if you can change resorts if the pool thing is a big deal for you. If not, just enjoy all the other things ASMo has to offer! You'll have a blast no matter what happens. :wizard:

All that alcohol!!! Yum! It sounds like you and I would have fun hanging out together! ;) Glad you had a great time.

Have you tried to see if there's availability at another resort during your trip? Even if you can't switch, as lovinaz said, your parents will be amazed by WDW as a whole. Try not to worry about it and just think of all the magic you'll all get to enjoy together! :wizard:

Wow didnt realise i'd been away this long, where has the week gone??
Weighed in on Friday & no gain so i'm happy with that after my cruise binge!!!
Been hard last couple of days though ate out Thurday with the intention of eating healthy but the menu was rubbish DF sent his back (a rare thing for him - us brits dont like to complain!!) DSIL got upset stomach!!
Anyway ended up with burger & fries, ate all the burger & some fries, poor Gary had my left overs as he refused to have anything else!!
Friday night i ended up taking my neighbour out as her Dh has decided to leave her!!
It is the week before their 1st wedding anniversary..men!
So i drank lots of cider & had chips (fries) for supper!
Saturday i went to an evening wedding reception & had a cob (bread!!..must get the lingo right :)) 1 small sausage roll & a 'nibble' of chocolate wedding cake..& it was a nibble. Didnt drink though - 3 diet cokes & a water
Another friend was supposed to get married on Saturday too, but i was told at my card making class on Tuesday that she has called the wedding off, with only a week to go!! What with that & my neighbour I am getting seriously worried about my up coming wedding!!
Went back to the gym last week after a 2 wek break took it steady on Monday, went swimming Wednesday, walking Thursday, & then went mad at the gym Friday...i am suffering, my legs are really aching!
Well thats a quick round up of my week,
Hope everyone is well

Wow, what a week! Your friend and neighbour are very fortunate to have you in their lives. Don't worry about your wedding. These are rare occurrences. I've been married nearly 8yrs and we're doing great. We have little quabbles, but nothing even remotely serious.

Your food made me hungry! LOL Congrats on not gaining weight. Are you watching your portions? Congrats on the exercising too. Did it feel good getting back into it (until you were sore! LOL). Thanks for the update and keep up the great work this week!!!

Good news neighbours DH is coming home tonight :) He sent her a big bunch of flowers & apologised for putting her through a hard time!
Went to the gym yesterday afternoon, Had omlette for lunch but didnt have a proper dinner so ended up snacking sugar free cola bottles & sugar free/low carb chocolate!! Only thing is that stuff gives me very bad wind!!
Went to the Doc yesterday as ithought i had a lump in my breast, given the all clear & we had a good talk about my period problems i told him about the horrible time i had at the hospital & he was not impressed, he said i have lots of options & we discussed a few, i am going back in 4 weeks :)
Today:
breakfast - atkins bar,earl grey
lunch - mexican chk salad
Dinner - small baked potato with chk & bacon
Need to remember to drink more water!!!

CJK - yes i'm trying to watch my portion sizes that is my downfall!! Think i'm doing ok :)
toystoryduo - we have decided to wait till we check in at ASMo's & see if we can get pop or upgrade to a moderate, hoefully something will be available
eeyore25 - Thanks for your kind words, the 6lb loss was a great feeling, it seems i dont budge for weeks then some will come off, i'm happy if that continues :)

Not going to have any dinner, i will have a bowl of strawberries later :)
Made my transportation reservations today with ****** (recommended on here!!) they are picking us up from the airport & taking us to ASMo's & also taking us to Clearwater for the week i get married i have requested a 'just married' sign for our return journey to the airport :) not going to tell DF!

Dont know whether this has made the news 'over there' proberbly, Every airport in the UK is facing major delays & disruption due to a major bomb threat being discovered!
Apparently terroists where going to use liquid explosives disguised as a drink in hand baggage to blow up 6 planes above US & UK cities!!!
I feel sick, hate flying at best of times without this! I know its still 2 months away but i think i'd sooner be flying whilst security is so tight! People in airports have took it very well they understand why there is delays etc, much more important to be safe!
Apparently they have arrested 18 people but 2 are missing.
Well off to watch the news again!

Weighed in today.no change...again!!!
I have been a bit up & down with my eating but nothing i'm not really allowed, i'm snacking in the evenings but its things like low carb chocolate & sugar free cola bottles, but i still feel quilty!
Yesterday:
Breakfast - decaf earl grey, atkins bar
lunch - 2 slices of low carb bread with cheese, onion & mayo, 2 more cups of earl grey
dinner - low carb pasta with tuna & tomatos & cheese
evening snacks - low carb chocolate & sugar free cola bottles

It looks like i lose only every 4 weeks after my period, but feeling guilty about the low carb, choc, cola bottles, bread & pasta as i only like to have them occasionaly, but feel i am having too much!
I have decided not to get any more cola bottles as they give me terrible wind!!
Got to go for my first wedding dress fitting next Friday, so am gonna try & go back on induction for the week, wish me luck!!! :)

Had fish & chips (fries!!) last night, feeling guilty!
Today (sunday)

Have been looking into the phase 2 carb blocker tablets, not sure if they will work well for me but i think i will give them a go, could be handy next time i'm tempted by fish & chips!!!
Trying to keep busy & not think about flying right now!!

The terror threat level has been reduced...slightly its gone down from
'youre gonna die' to 'you might die'!!!
They have reduced the size of hand baggage allowed so i dont know where that leaves me regarding taking my wedding dress on as hand luggage, not looking good, i hate the thought of putting it in a case & just hoping it will arrive safely!!! No point contacting them yet i will wait to nearer the time! Still better to be safe :)
Been to gym today, not been since last monday so i spent 2 hours there! - 1 hr on treadmill, 30 mins on cross trainer & 30 mins on weights, i will suffer tomorrow!!!

breakfast - usual!!
lunch- omlette with cheese, tomato, mushroom & pepperoni, diet lemonade with suger free dilute peach & aprcot
dinner - gonna have low carb fatijas with cajun chk.

DD & friend were not too noisy last night :)

Doesnt seem to be any reason for the gain!
After i posted i tried on a pair of trousers that 3 weeks ago didint fit...& they fit!!!
So am putting it down to overdoing it at the gym & it being muscle weighing more than fat!!
Had a bad back last couple of days.. put that down to gym aswell, it seems to be when i do the weights for upper body.
yesterday
breakfast - usual
lunch - low carb muffin
dinner 2 x phase 2 tablets followed by a VERY small baked potato with chk & bacon in mayo, low carb chocolate bar

Today
breakfast - usual
lunch - 3 x bran crisp bread (0 carbs) with cheese
dinner - snacked on low carb muffin & going out for an Italian meal tonight, so will take 2 x phase 2 tablets before :)

Went for my wedding gown fitting :) Got to have a few alterations made,

Hi Tracey,

I have just been getting caught up on your journal. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and trip to WDW! You must be getting very excited. I stayed at ASMO two years ago the same time you are going and it was wonderful. Don't worry about the pool thing, some sections of the resort you are about as close to ASMU's pool and I happen to like that one better anyway! Don't worry about the gain, I think it probably is muscle which does weigh more than fat. If your pants are fitting now that is the true sign of weight loss! Hope you are having a nice weekend and thank you for your nice posts on my journal. I am excited to have an overseas friend here on the WISH!

Hmmm Amy you are making me feel guilty now!!!
My detox day started well, but by the evening the headache/hangover had got worse for dinner i had 3 carb free crispbreads & a low carb muffin, BUT then i had a wholetub of cheese & chive dip with half a tub of pringles (chips)!!!!
The dip isnt too bad on low carb but the pringles were a big no, no,
I had actually bought some carrot sticks to have with the dip but i felt so lousy my body needed comfort food!! :)

Lunch with grandad was nice, the menu where we ate was not so good, no salads at all!!! So i ended up having a baked potato with cheese & bacon & i only ate the inside not the skin!
I then went to the gym did 1 hr on treadmill & some weights I had to leave early *** my legs felt like jelly & i felt a bit dizzy!
Do you think i'm not eating enough???
I felt really strange so i had a BIG plate of chicken with a smallish portion of rice & sweet & sour sauce!
IF i'm not eating enough how come when i got on the scales this morning i had gone up ANOTHER 1-2lbs!!!! I dont understand what is happening i have been losing VERY slowly but NEVER gained now all of a sudden i've gained nearly 7lbs in a couple of weeks & i HAVNT pigged out!! That cant all be muscle! :confused3
VERY confused right now, & feeling pretty disheartened after all my hard work :sad2:

Today
breakfast - atkins bar, earl grey
lunch - 2 slices of low carb bread toasted with melted cheese on top, (that is a lot for me would usually only have 1 slice but still feeling hungry & jelly legs!) low carb muffin, earl grey
dinner - gonna have an omlette & strawberries!

Thanks everyone for checking out my blog, Leanne is going for her bridesmaid dress fitting on 31st so i'm hopefully gonna post a pic of her wearing it :)

Thanks for sharing your blog, we finally know what you look like now!

I am sorry to hear you are still having some unexplained gains. It is really frustrating (believe me, I know!). Have you ever considered doing a different kind of eating plan, like Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig or just counting your calories? Maybe you need to change things up if your body has gotten too used to what you are doing.

Hang in there and keep getting that exercise in! :grouphug:

Just getting caught up .... looks like your hen night was tons of fun!

Congrats on your first fitting and getting everything paid off. You are gong to have such a wonderful time. Hopefully, the flying thing will have sorted itself out more by the time you guy. Even if it hasn't you are going to make such magical memories at WDW and your wedding.

Gaining is very frustrating, but do remember how your clothes fit is what really matters. As for your food, have you tried logging your intake at fitday or sparkpeople? That helps me see where I am slipping or where I need to add more. Sometimes when I am eating lots of fruits and veggies, I discover that my calorie count is actually too low and I need to add something (Of course low calorie count has not been a problem for me recently .... just the oppostite  ). Don't get discouraged. It will turn around. :cheer2:

CJK
08-22-2006, 05:22 PM
Sorry to hear about your frustrating gain. I agree with what the others said. Have you been counting calories to be sure that you're not under-eating? Sometimes when we undereat, our bodies go into starvation mode and hold onto any fat that it has instead of letting it go. I have found this in my own experience. Of course, these days it's overeating I need to worry about! Best of luck! :goodvibes

Amy&Dan
08-22-2006, 07:13 PM
Hi Tracey, that is a bummer about the gain. I know how frustrating that is, believe me. I agree with others. I would carefully evaluate your calories. You could be eating too little, too little fat in particular (good fat) can really wreac havoc with weight loss. I also agree with maybe a short term change. Jenny Craig can be very good for a month or two. For me its hard to do long term due to the expense and having to cook separate meals for my family. But sometimes doing something new and different that is very structured can really jump start your metabolism. This also might just be some strange thing that is going to right itself very soon and you'll never know exactly. Hormones, water, Karma, who knows! Don't give up and don't get discouraged. Just keep looking at all you have accomplished as part of a big, lifelong picture. Its all going to happen if you just hang in there! Can't wait to see Lenne in her dress on your blog!

Thnaks everyone :)
My clothes deffinatly feel looser, i have tried on several things the last couple of days,
1 pair of jeans & a skirt i can take off without even undoing!!!
These clothes were always loose fitting but i still had to unfasten them to take them off!
I have been feeling VERY hungry so i'm wondering if the stravation mode theory may be the one! I'm trying to resisit eating junk to fill myself up.
I'm gonna try healthy snacks between meals. Been on my stepper this morning & I'm off to the gym this afternoon too, so will make sure i eat well before i go, dont want those dizzy spells again!!!

Last night i had the omlette & strawberries & later on i was feeling hungry again (which didnt use to happen) but then my neighbour came over in tears.....
remember? the one whos DH left & then came back...well hes gone again!! Looks like for good this time, sat with her till 11.30pm, had 2 malibu & cokes with her.

DD birthday on Sunday, i cant believe she will be 12!!!
We are taking her to a local themepark tomorrow (weather permitting - it has been terrible weather the last 3 weeks!!) & on Sunday we are going to the coast for a few days :) Just gotta resist those donuts & ice creams.....

Thanks for all the advice & suppport, you have all made me feel much more positive :)

Hi Tracey,

I'm sorry to hear about the gain. I know how frustrating the scale can be. We can always have a scale bashing party if you like! ;) I think checking your daily caloric intake is a good idea. That way, you can make sure that you are eating enough so your body doesn't go into starvation mode.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend and her DH. I had coffee with a friend last night who is having some problems and I know how hard it can be. That's great that you are there for your friend to support her. :grouphug:

I hope you have a great day! :sunny: Happy Birthday to your DD! :Pinkbounc

Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned! I know it's hard to believe our babies grow up so fast. Here is some :wizard: for good weather.

At least your clothes are fitting better, which means you are losing inches. Who knows, those lbs might disappear as quickly as they came on. Women's bodies are mysteries sometimes!

Hi Tracey, such a bummer about your neighbor. How doubly sad that after he came back and she got her hopes up, he skipped again. Men!

That is great news however about the way your clothes are fitting these days. That feels so good and tells you that the scale is only one small piece of a bigger puzzle. Keep up the good work, its really paying off!

And hey, I am also a Malibu and Coke girl! I have now switched to Diet Coke with my Malibu. Goes down just as smooth!

Sorry about your neighbor. You are a good friend to be there for her and listen.

Awesome about the clothes slipping off. Way to go! That is visible evidence that all your hard work is paying off no matter what the scale says.

I hope you have a great day at the theme park and a wonderful time on the coast. :sunny:

Thanks everyone :grouphug:
We went to the theme park yesterday, weather was perfect & DD went on an 'upside down' rollercoaster for the very first time :)
There will be no stopping her now, when we visit wdw & universal!!!!!
The park was sooo expensive though about $100 for the day & that was with a $60 discount (rough convertion into dollers!!)
& they charged $8 to park the car & $6 for a locker
(which was non-returnable) makes our wdw tickets look like a bargain!!!
There was no healthy options for food so i had a KFC meal & a donut!!!!
But we walked ALOT :)
I dont feel too guilty about the food as i have been to the gym Monday & Wednesday & i'm going this afternoon (when i stop chatting on here!!)

Update on my neighbour & DH -
When we got back from the theme park about 8pm last night his car was parked outside the house & it was still there at 11pm, i have not seen her yet but it looks like they may have made up....again!! He was supposed to be going round on Saturday to talk about 'stuff' so not sure if its selling up 'stuff' or relationship 'stuff'!!!
Weighed in this morning - no change, at least it hasnt gone up anymore!!!
Another thing i've noticed is that i have been needing the toilet a lot more (to pass water) maybe thats part of the scales mystery :confused3
Today:
breakfsat - atkins bar, earl grey
lunch - low carb bread sandwich with cheese, small quiche, bowl of strawberries with cream, took 2 x phase 2 tablets before eating
dinner - gonna have low carb spaggetti bolo

might not get on again before we go to the coast on Sunday (back wednesday night) so i will catch up with everyone then, i have a feeling my low carb lifestyle may be put on hold whilst i'm away, i will try & keep track!!
Amy not sure when your off on that cruise, just wanted to say have a great trip if i miss you before you go :)
Hope everyone has a great weekend & a healthy week :)

Tracey, sounds like your weight gain mystery is solved! If you are peeing like a racehorse, then at least its going bye-bye! I hope you have a great trip to the coast. I agree about the cost of non disney theme parks. What always kills me about WDW tickets is that I am buying 10 days worth so it seems very expensive. But I took my kids to the zoo a few weeks ago and dropped over $60 for the three of us (for four hours at the zoo) and realized WDW is actually a good deal with a lot of bang for the buck. I leave for Orlando on Wednesday the 30th, we stay two days at CSR, no parks except for Blizzard Beach. And then we head to sea on the Magic on Saturday the 2nd! I am very excited but nervous about flying with all this security drama. Keep up your hard work, you are doing so well and exercising like a workout queen! And I hope things are working out with your neighbor and her dh. I think he needs a good, swift kick in the rear personally!

I will "talk" to you when I get home!

I think Amy's right. Keep drinking lots of water and you'll "flush" your KFC and donut away with the rest of those extra lbs gained. I'll bet the scale will be kind next time. Are you going to WI before you go on your trip?

Enjoy your time on the coast and don't worry too much about carbs. Drink lots of water, go for walks on the shore, and get back on track when you return. Have a great trip! :sunny:

Hi Tracey~

I know what you mean about theme parks! Last Friday, we went to our local theme park and we paid $50 for tickets (a $30 discount!), $9 to park, $6 for locker rental (it was a keyless locker rental! you used a touch pad to enter your code and it opened the locker... very cool and no key to lose!), and the rest went for food inside and outside of the park. It was fun though and got us ready to go to WDW in December! :Pinkbounc

Have a great time on the coast! :goodvibes See ya real soon! ::MickeyMo

Be sure to drink plenty of water to flush out all the goodies you ate the past few days! And hopefully you will be feeling good enough to get to the gym soon. :wizard:

I wasnt going to weigh in today, but then i thought 'no' if i WI it will motivate me to get back on track, so i WI & I've lost a couple of lbs!!! :cheer2:
I'm still gonna get back on track though as i know when i over eat it doesnt usually show on the scales for a week or two, still i was suprised as i have felt really bloated & unfit since we came back, maybe its *** i havnt been to the gym...maybe that muscle i was starting to gain has turned back to musch!!! :confused3

Hi all :)
The wedding was amazing, it was the MOST beautiful, relaxed wedding i have ever been to & i've just gotta tell you about it!!
My friend got married in a statley home/manor/mansion!!! that was built in the 15th century, it was sooo lovely, we walked through a walled garden arched entrance to see this fantastic house with stone steps leading up to a terrace with big stone pillars,
after the service (inside) we came out & there was a table with champagne, bucks fizz & orange juice (yes i went for the champagne!!) she had a string quartet play inside & then they came out onto the terrace to play whilst waiters came round filling my glass again & again & bringing lots of lovely posh little nibbles!!!
She got married at 3.45pm & it only lasted 15 mins but we didnt leave the terrace till 6.30pm...just stood around chatting, eating & drinking, the weather was lovely too!
We then went to straight to the evening reception at 6.30pm where there was more champagne waiting for us...by 8pm i was crying over my grandmother (she past away 2 years ago this Thursday..7th) & telling the bride i loved her whilst holding her in a bear hug!!!!
I've decided champagne makes me emotional!!!
I'm gonna post pics on my blog & will let you know when there on (along with DD bridesmaid dress!)

Started back to work today, i was quite nervous as i am working with a woman who i know hates me, but she was civil today & not outright nasty (like she has been in the past!) I'm only working with her till we go to WDW then shes at the other end of the school :teeth:

Saturday eating was good.....until the evening (gonna skip Friday as that was the wedding!)
b/fast - atkins bar, earl grey
lunch - chk salad & WATER
dinner 3x low carb crispbreads with cheese & WATER
evening - whole tub of cheese & chive dip with pringles :sad2: (i felt increadibly sick afterwards so hopefully that will put me off doing that again!

Sunday
b/fast - nothing, still felt sick
lunch - chk salad & WATER
dinner - 3 x low carb crispbreads & WATER

Today, Monday
b/fast - atkins bar, earl grey
lunch - low carb sandwich, piece of cheese, strawberries, earl grey
dinner - pepperoni omlette, earl grey
Been to the gym tonight & drank lots of water whilst working out :)
Hoping to go to the gym Wednesday & Friday this week :)

I am going to take flowers to the cemetry tomorrow after work & give grandad his wedding invite (for the party we are having when we return) Grandma was always getting on at Gary asking when he was going to marry me so she could buy a new hat!
So its kinda nice to give him the invite on the day we will be thinking of her more than ever, just wish she could be there, oh dear i'm filling up now, time to change the subject. today
B/fast - usual!
lunch - low carb sandwich with cheese & onion on, piece if cheese, walnuts, strawberries, earl grey

Went to the gym again tonight, did 40 mins treadmill & 30 mins cross trainer (same as Monday) Also took some children up to the school allotment today & did some gardening & i have PE all morning tomorrow!!! followed by allotment again in the afternoon!!!
Please send a prayer up for my grandmother tomorrow, she would have loved it to think that people 'across the pond' where thinking of her :)

I lost it on Weight Watchers, and yes, stayed for the dreaded meetings, and weighed in once a week with them, which held me accountable. I exercise 5-6 days to lose, and 4-5 to maintain. And when I don't I really feel crappy, physically and mentally. Hope this helps, YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: P.S. mydisney - i'm afraid i'm not a morning person, i couldnt get up any earlier i like my sleep too much :)
Hoping to do the 3 times this week (GYM!!) so gonna try & go tomorrow,
I'm on a course for the next 2 days 'handling children with disabilities' they've told us to wear enclosed shoes & loose fitting, comfortable clothing!! So not sure what they are going to get us doing!! so hopfully i will have the energy to go to gym afterwards!!! Friday i am on a school trip all day, so its a hectic few days to come

DD passed her first singing exam
she is also doing a choir concert this Saturday at our local church & another concert 2 weeks after at another church, & the Saturday inbetween Gary & i have been invited to a friends leaving party...they are moving to Spain permenantly (lucky things!) so a few hectic weekends to come too!

Amy we are going to work out how much time we will be spending at ASMo's to see if its worth changing & will then wait till we check in at ASMo's to upgrade...if we do!!!
Thanks everyone for the lovely comments & advice & motivation & keeping me sane :grouphug:

Great job getting those veggies in! :thumbsup2 I can't wait until it cools down here so I can make some veggie soup. I just can't eat soup when it is over 90 degrees outside...

You are going to be one busy girl this week! Hopefully you will be able to get all of your exercise in and stay on track with your eating. You'll be in FL before you know it! :teeth:

Hi Tracey~

I'm glad to hear that Gary made it home okay. :goodvibes Did you have your party yet?

I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. TOM can certainly put a damper on things can't it? :( :grouphug:

You sound like you have a lot going on in the next few weeks. That should make the time go by faster until your wedding is here and then you're at WDW! :Pinkbounc

Hi all :)
Well i've finished my 2 day training course on handling children with disabilities, it was really good & met some lovely people!
It was a real eye opener on 2 levels: the 1st on just how much damage can be done to your spine through bad posture!!!
The 2nd was an insight into the lives of disabled children, the people who care for them & their parents/carers & how a disabilty effects them. I really feel i've had my eyes opened for me!! & i appreciate how lucky i am to be resonably fit & healthy :)

Tomorrow: school trip :) pray the rain stays away....for a change!!
Food:
yesterday (tuesday)
b/fast - slice of low carb toast with no added sugar apricot jam, earl grey
lunch - well...lunch was provided at the course & i thought hmmm well funded special school theres bound to be a choice so i'll have the healthy option...there were sandwiches & cakes!!! so i had about 5 sandwiches & a cake!! In my defence they were small sandwiches!!
dinner - low carb spag/bol
was going to go to the gym but had to get a black t-shirt for DD who decided to tell me 20 mins before leaving the house for school that she needed 1 today for choir practice!!!! stressed....yes! Had to send her to school with a black tinkerbell t-shirt turned inside out! DD gets home from school ask her if she wore it...'no we didnt need one afterall' **!!$%!* after I get home from buying the t-shirt i was going to go to gym then but mum is sat on garden waiting for me, so i think i'll go when mum leaves...as mum leaves neighbour comes over....her DH left her again, 3rd time!!! so i didnt get to gym :)
This morning DD tells me she needs shin pads for PE... TODAY, had to go over the road & wake neighbour to ask if we could borrow her sons!! as DD was freaking she thought she would get detention!
After dropping DD off at school, i went home turned on house alarm to leave for my course then realised it was throwing it down with rain so quickly unlocked the door rushed into kitchen to get umbrella...forgetting how slippy the floor is when wet, crashed to the ground landing on my right hip, shoulder & knee, trying to clamber up in agony to get the alarm turned off before it went off!!!
I am impressed though...i bounced pretty good, & normally i am in pain for a while but got over it pretty quick, put that down to being healthier :)
Today (Thursday)
b/fast - slice of low carb toast with no added sugar apricot jam, earl grey
lunch - took my own today, low carb sandwich, cheese & strawberries
dinner - baked potato with cheese, chk & bacon on top & chk portion on the side
GOT TO THE GYM :)

Yay, you finally made it to the gym! :cheer2: Ouch on the fall, glad you didn't injure yourself too bad. About the only thing worse than slipping on a slippery floor is slipping on ice.

Great job bringing your own lunch the second day. Sometimes it's really hard to resist the provided goodies!

I LOVED the pics from the wedding! Your DD is Beautiful in that dress! You ARE going to post pics from your wedding, aren't you??

I'm afraid I won't be getting to see you at HHN. DD and I are going to FL alone at the beginning of the month so DH can go to Iowa to visit his siblings. I'm a bit bummed!

Have a great weekend!

Hi Tracey! Sounds like things are going well and that you're really busy! At least you're doing some fun things too.

Hi Tracey:

What a Tuesday! Don't you just love it when kids spring this stuff on you at the last minute? My daughter did the same thing the other day telling me that day was "Rockies Day" (our major league baseball team). Had to give her the sad news I had no time to go out and get her a tee shirt for a team she cares nothing about that she will never wear again. Of course, she was the only kid in a school of 800 students not wearing a shirt because her mom wouldn't buy her one! Ahh, kids. Also, sorry about your fall but I was laughing at your funny account of the whole thing! Sounds like your food is good and congrats on getting to the gym. That feels good I am sure. Have a great Friday and weekend!

Hey Tracey!

Glad you're ok, the fall sounded nasty, but it was :rotfl: hearing you tell it!

Good job getting to the gym, and your food looks good.

Oh my, those kids, my oldest DD was the worst at telling me she needed things as we're walking out the door. Finally I got to the point where if they don't give me some advance warning, well, too bad, they go to school without it! Kiddies have to start learning some planning and responsibility!!

Have a good weekend, and your trip will be here soon! :sunny:

I'm a little worried - i got over the fall really quickly & havnt even bruised...but last night i found a painful lump on my leg & it hasnt gone.. no bruise just a lump under the skin, i'm worried *** when doc put me back on contraceptive pill, because of my age & my grandmother died of deep vain thrombosis (the one i never knew, & she was very overweight too) & my other grandmother had thrombosis but did not die of that but she had very bad circulation problems all her life, doc said any problems to go straight back...so now i'm worried i have thrombosis!!!!
If it hasnt got any better tomorrow i will have to go back again!!!
I have only been taking the pill for 3 days though!
Was gonna research on internet but thought that might freak me out!
What do you think??

Congrats on your weightloss! :sunny: You just gotta love that feeling!

I hope your neighbour is okay. What a strange situation that is! I hope, for her sake, her husband is getting his act together.

Hope your leg feels better soon. It could easily just be a result of the fall (and nothing more serious). I ALWAYS have a bruise on my legs for one reason or another. At any rate, keep your eye on it and go to the doctor if it doesn't get better. Yes - don't research the internet!! I did that a couple weeks ago and was convinced that I was dying (and it turned out to probably be nothing). Just go see your doctor if you get really worried.

Hope you have a great week ahead! Let us know if Gary will wear a costume at MNSSHP. My dh won't!!!

I would call the doctor so that when they tell you its nothing to worry about you can breathe a sigh of relief! And don't research on the internet, it will just freak you out. Sounds like you had a fun weekend and I didn't think your food was bad at all given the amount of special events you attended. And most of all, big congratulations on that weight loss! 2 Pounds is really a lot of weight to lose. Your big day is really getting close, when do you leave? Tell Gary to dress up, everyone else does!

Didnt sleep well last night, i was convinced doc would send me to hospital to investigate & i kept thinking if they do that i wont be able to go to Florida!!!
On top of that everytime i rolled onto my right side the pain in my leg woke me up!
So i went to see the doc first thing this morning, & its all good :)
He said it was either deep muscle damage or a torn ligament but DEFINATLY NOT thrombosis....big sigh of relief!

Food today:
b/fast - toast, jam & earl grey
lunch - cheese roll (not low carb bread!!), cheese pieces, strawberries & walnuts
dinner - 2 large mushrooms stuffed with sundried tomato pesto & cheese
Went to the gym, dont know if i should have with my leg, but felt so guilty (and a little bloated) about having the 2 double cheese burgers last night! It doesnt feel too bad at the moment!
Thanks everyone for caring :)

Hi wish buddies :)
Leg feeling much better now!
Food has been good, but i have really been craving chocolate!!! They had a big plate of choclate biscuits at my card making class last night & i managed to resist them!
I told Gary last night that after we are married i'm gonna pig out!!!

Tuesday
b/fast - toast,apricot jam & earl grey
lunch - mexican chk salad, strawberries, water
dinner - Roast pork with mushroom & bacon stuffing, roasted peppers, tomatos & mushrooms with herbs & cheese & corn on cob. water

wednesday
b/fast - toast,apricot jam & earl grey
lunch - low carb cheese & onion sanwich, walnuts, strawberries & earl grey
dinner - rogan josh chk curry with wholewheat rice

Was going to go to the gym again tonight but felt so hungry when i got home i decided not to go, will try for Friday.
I think 3 times a week might be too much, as work is really hectic at the moment so going to go mondays & fridays, maybe the odd wednesday when i feel energetic :)

I'm getting really excited now for florida, i bought a new suitcase last week & i'm itching to pack it :)
There is soooooo much to look forward to, we have booked: MNSSHP, HHN, DC, dine with shamu, serengeti safari at BG as well as doing all the wdw parks including water parks & universal & IOA & seaworld & BG
Then theres the ADR's i have booked: breakfastasaraus at AK, dinner at boma, breakfast at CP, dinner at wilderness lodge (WCC), high tea at GF, calofornia grill,
sci-fi diner, 50's prime time, hollywood & vine fantasmic dinner package, san angel inn (for dads b/day)...all that to fit in the first 2 weeks!!
Then our wedding!! Do you think we may fall asleep on our wedding night? lol

I think you will be in a food coma after eating at all those places! :rotfl:

I'm glad your leg is better. Sometimes it's tough to get to the gym as often as you want. Just go whenever you can! And if you have some workout videos, maybe you could do those at home when you can't seem to drag yourself to the gym...

You are going to look great for your wedding, keep it up! :cheer2:

You are eating at some of my favorite places in WDW (Sci Fi and San Angel)! I agree you may be in a food coma but it will be a blissful state to be in! I also agree with the suggestion of workout videos at home. In fact I need to take that advice too! Good job resisting the chocolate biscuits. I find that one chocolate goodie tends to lead to another so better to resist outright! You are going to be one sexy, skinny bride, keep up the good work!

I do stretching exercises every morning, but i also bought a twist & step machine not too long ago that is starting to gather dust!! It gives a pretty good work out too, so i will try to motivate myself to go on that!!!
WOOHOOO noticed there are no more months on my countdown :)
Work has organised a hen night for me (they couldnt get to the cruise one!)
Not telling me anything except i have to dress up as a belly dancer!!! & that they are dressing up as something else but i dont know what!...gulp

I do seem to have had a hectic social life lately dont I?
Its been a hectic year though, with Gary & I both turning 40 this year & the wedding!
It's not always like this...honest :)
BUT we did go over to our neighbours last night for a quick drink that turned into several!!! 1 bottle of red wine later i am feeling pretty rough! I'm sure when i looked in the mirror this morning I'd aged!!!
Off to a 'going away' party tonight, some friends are moving out to Spain.
Friday:
B/fast - toast & jam & earl grey
lunch - low carb cheese & onion sandwich, walnuts, 3 pieces of cheese & 2 wholemeal digestive biscuits (not the breakfast stuff you call biscuit over there!! its like cookies type biscuit..without chocolate....you dunk them in your tea!!)
dinner - low carb pizza, shared a chocolate bar with Gary (my treat!)
Went to gym did 30 mins treadmill &30 mins cross trainer.

Gary is working this morning (you can tell we are going away, its the only time he does overtime....need that spending money :))
We are going ring shopping this afternoon, & we also have to pay the rest of our deposit for the Maldives...there goes this months wages!
Computer didnt sound too good when i turned it on this morning so if i suddenly dissapear for a while you will know why!!!
Amy - liking the UK countdown :)
CJK - just noticed your tag, does it mean Clay Aitkin?? Gary, Leanne & I are American Idol addicts! I love him, you cant get his music in the UK, but we bought 1 of his albums on our last trip, & We are having 'This Is The Night' for our wedding song, none of our family or friends have heard of him so the song will be 'new' I am promoting his music!! He should come over & thank me or even better invite me over there to see him in concert ooohhh that would be amazing, wish he would tour in the UK!
When is that tag fairy gonna find me :(

Well off to call the wedding dress shop to find out if my dress will ever be ready!!!!

lunch- roast dinner with POTATOES & YORKSHIRE PUDDDING followed by APPLE PIE & CUSTARD!!
dinner - high carb cheese baguette with cheese & ham & high carb/sugar cherry fruit corner yogurt

Water has been almost non-existent, although i am sat with a glass at the side of me now:)

Think i know why i got so stressed...TOM but TOM shouldnt be here!!! Its been 2 weeks between...again, but i started taking my pill a week ago, so it feels like my body is pulling me in 2 different directions TOM wants to arrive & pill is trying to stop it, result.....bad tempered, shaky & i feel like i've had breast implants!!!!

I'm also feeling really really hungry lately so i dont know if thats down to any of the above!!!
B/fast - law carb toast & low sugar apricot jam, earl grey
lunch - low carb cheese & onion sandwich, strawberries, 2 pieces of cheese, walnuts, earl grey & 1 very small chocolate!!
Dinner - having salmon & salad

DD came home from school today saying she does not feel well - sore throat, she then bites my head off at a simple question, & storms of crying her eyes out...hormones eh dont you just love em

I completely understand what you're going through. ::yes:: A couple of years ago, I went to the doctor because TOM was not coming. So much to do at the moment!!

Followed by governor training till 6.40pm tonight!! I'm beat
There is a 'bug' going around at the moment, so i'm putting everything down to:
TOM who is still trying his best to appear!
wedding/holiday stress

There is a lot to be stressing about right now. But I'm sure everything will fall into place like it is supposed to and then you can relax and enjoy your awesome trip! :thumbsup2

Hopefully whatever bug you may have caught leaves quickly. TOM will always ruin everything, it's just one of those pleasant things us girls get to deal with. We're so lucky!

I hope so, if not, no biggie, its a number! You must be so excited its really getting close. Hang in there and do the best you can! You'll be relaxing in wedded bliss before you know it!

Good job using the gym to de-stress instead of eating. I have not been so good :sad2: .

Sorry about TOM and the bug. I understand the mom hormones vs. DD hormones. Just remember she is even more confused by the whole thing than you are.

Hang in there and have a wonderful week! Your trip is less than 3 weeks away now

Great job on using cherry pie guilt to go to the gym. :woohoo: Cherry pie is one of my most favorites too. Yum!

The school shootings have been awful. 3 in the last week. I just want to hold my babies close and give them a hug "just because".

Congrats on the new car and you are getting so close to your trip. Have you started packing yet?

Your trip is so close! The next couple weeks are going to fly by. I have to admit, I am a little freaked out by the driving over here! My boss lived here for 5 years, so he is used to the narrow roads and of course driving on the left side. Not me! I'm just glad I am not the one that has to drive!

Great job getting those workouts in! :cheer2:

Hello!!!
Party was great, but i was soooo ill yesterday :(
I told my friend i didnt want to get too drunk as i had a lot to do on Saturday, but they made me drink 6 shots!!!!! I dont do shots, so you can imagine the state i was in!! They made me wear a flashing tiara & vail that said 'bride to be' & a gold sash & badge. We went to a Greek restaurant there was a belly dancer & i thought oh no there gonna make me dance - but they didnt (phew) Then the waiters got us up dancing & we went all over the restaurant & outside - 3 times!!!
Food lovely, had wine too on top of shots!! They gave me balloons & a souvenier plate with 'congratulations Tracey' written on it.
Towards the end of the evening a friend & i decided to sing disney songs...at the top of our voices, i even stood up & waved my arms around to the little mermaids 'part of your world' (my favourite) That didnt come back to me till late yesterday afternoon!!!
On the way home i threw everything up (into a bag!)
Saturday - felt terrible, woke up at 6am (didnt get intill 1am) had to carry on though with so much to do, left home at 9am & went to pick Garys ring up, went to bank & GOT TICKETS :)
Then caught train into Nottingham city, Gary went to watch a football match Leanne & i had lunch, picked up her bridesmaid dress, then met my mum & dad at the theatre, they took leanne to watch 'Joseph & his technicolour dreamcoat' i window shopped then met Gary 30 mins later, went for a drink on the canal (cola!!), met mum, dad & leanne at train station caught 4.30pm train home, collapsed on bed!
Went back out at 6.45pm as we had arranged to visit my brother & go round to friends to watch their florida video, friend bought bottle of champagne to celebrate our upcoming marriage, managed to force a teaspoon full past my lips!
Got home at 11.30pm, collapsed into bed!
Today - woke up at 8am in agony, TOM appeared but the pains were the worst i can ever remember, it brought me to tears! Just starting to feel human now!
STARTED TO PACK :)
So thats my very busy & eventful weekend, one more weekend left then i will be in the sunshine with mickey :)
Hope everone has had a good weekend, & thanks for being so understanding about journals :)

All I can say is Thank God you had a bag handy! Sounds like you had fun (love the "part of your world" thing, I'll think of you now when I hear that one :rotfl2: ). Last time I had that much to drink was at dh's xmas party a few years back. I removed my panty hose in the car which was unfortunate because his boss found them a few days later when they drove together to a business meeting! I am just too old to recover from that anymore. And what a hectic day! But again, you had fun, all this pre trip/pre wedding excitement is so special, just enjoy it! Glad you got the tickets and started packing, its real now thats for sure! Keep having fun you lucky girl!

Got lots of winding up today at work, but everyone said they had enjoyed it :) I felt pretty embarrased though!

Tomorrow night we are having nibbles at my card making/scrapbook class.
Wednesday evening - nails done & eyebrows waxed

Thankfully I was in my husband's car when I took off the panythose and not the boss'!! He found them when he rode in our car a few days later. Oh my, had I taken them off in somebody else's car, that would have been even worse! :rotfl2: ! That taught me I can not have three glasses of wine when I am on an antibiotic for a sinus infection I can tell you that much!

Yep, teachers always have a bag, kleenex and hand sanitizer ready don't they? Single digits are here for you! :cool1: ! Great job going to the gym and your food sounds good. Yes i've died my hair before, i cant remember what my natural colour is!!!
I usually do it myself, but i have a few blonde highlights & the colour i want has no red tones in it, so there was a slight chance the blonde could turn green!!!
So i thought i better pay out & do it the proper way!! Wanted it doing earlier really, but my hairdresser decided to go on holiday...how inconsiderate of him :)

Major stress last night, or should i say i major over reacted...you decide -
phoned mum & dad last night to see if her tickets had arrived, i asked her to check flight details with mine....mum & dad are not on the same return flight, i am not happy as they are on an earlier flight but we have a taxi picking us up from clearwater to take us to airport, origonally at 1.30pm our latest checkin is 16.55, BUT mum & dad have to check in at 3.00pm at the very latest so we now will have to be picked up at 12pm be at airport around 2-2.30pm we dont fly till 8pm!!!!
I blamed mum, mum blamed me, dad went on & on & on & on about nothing really!
I gave them all our flight details when they booked (after us) i said 'why would i give you those flight details when i knew we were on the later flight?' dad said well you did, i said i didnt!!! dad checks confirmations & they all have the same flight, i check our confirmations & ....we were on the early flight & it got changed to the late one!
Now i have to eat humble pie & apologise :(
I got sooo stressed over it, like it was the end of the world, i think its because i have planned everything & just want it all to be perfect, i'm turning into one of those bridesilla monsters!!!!
chill, chill, chill

Thanks guys :)
Had a bad food weekend!!!
At this rate i will have put on 14lb even before i get to wdw!!!
Curry friday, chip shop (fries) Saturday, pizza & fries Sunday!
Picked up my dress on Saturday, where they told me they didnt have a box the right size to take on the plane (i only gave them 12 months notice!!!) So i wasnt too happy, she then went on to try to fold my dress up to show me she didnt think it would have fit anyway, & then the hanger went through the dress cover & punctured a hole in the cover! She never even checked if it had damaged my dress!
Got home to find they had steamed it wrong & all the lining was showing, so i had to go all the way back again where she said 'well i didnt do it' i said 'i'm not bothered who did it, i just want it right' they did put it right, but by then i had turned into bridezilla again & poor Gary & Leanne got the worst of it!!!
So it looks like the dress will have to go in a case :(
We wanted to do twighlight check in - where you can check your luggage in the night before you fly, so you dont have to get to the airport so early the morning you fly & que up to check in for hours! But i really dont like the thought of leaving my dress overnight in the airport!!
Off to dye Leannes hair dark brown now, she wants to look as gorgeous as her mum :)
& then pack some more & wash clothes & iron!!
Rest of the jewels on my nail came off over the weekend, she is coming to fix it tonight but i think i'm not gonna bother with the jewels incase they come off again!
Might have it done in Clearwater before the wedding.
Have a good week all
will post again before i leave :)

What a stressful time with the dress! I think it will be OK in a case. I agree with not wanting to leave it at the airport overnight. You don't need that kind of worry! You will look awesome for your wedding, don't worry about all the extra eating you've been doing. It sounds like you are so stressed I bet that is burning all kinds of calories! :teeth:

I agree with Amy M., don't worry about the eating thing, you have enough going on in your life and can't expect to not do a bit of stress eating. I am glad they fixed the dress but what a pain! Well i have decided to do the twilight check-in & check my gown in the night before, i have had 2 e-mails, 1 from the airlines customer service & 1 from the wedding department with the tour operator i booked it with & have spoken to a friend who has done it twice & i had some positive comments on the DIS UK forum!
They said the cases are in a secure room,
& mum says if it does go missing (which i pray it doesnt!!) we have 2 weeks to get it back before the wedding! although she seems to forget that i would be a nervous wreck for the 2 weeks!!!
Ate out tonight at frankie & bennys, ate way too much :(

This is my last post, so wish me luck guys :)
Thankyou for all your support, i will miss you :)
I will be back, i have a feeling i may need you!!!
Keep your fingers crossed on Thursday, that my flight is safe (i actually keep mine crossed for the whole 9 hours - & i'm not joking!!)
