You will love it!
I've been a lurker at this website for a while now, and have finally come out of the woodwork to throw in my two cents where I feel they can help.
Since this is your first time, research and planning is a must (well, it's a must for any trip, but for you, even moreso)! There are plenty of books that can help. I recommend the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2006 as your "Bible". You can get it from Amazon (it's 5 or 6 bucks cheaper there than in a book store). It's helped me immensely in my previous trips.
The bottom line with Disney World is you have to work hard not to have a good time. It will be fun, but with a little planning and foresight, your experience will be so much more enjoyable. With five kids (five!!!), you are sure to be busy nonstop. Plan ahead and it'll help you relax a little more when you are down there. I hope you have a blast! Wait, I know you'll have a blast!

In preparation for your trip rent lots of Disney movies!!
You can get CD cartoons of Mickey, Goofy, Donald & Chip & Dale, and of course the Disney classics.
Your kids will warm up to the characters much faster if they are familiar, it really ups the "magic" factor. We all grew up with the cartoons but our kids haven't. I forgot that before our first trip and it took my DS a while to figure out what was going on... have fun planning!

Welcome to the DIS :cheer2: As you can see, I'm somewhat new to the DISboards myself (I too lurked for some time). Although I've been to WDW quite a few times, I still found alot of helpful information on these boards.
I agree with everyone that it can be come additive but how else is one supposed to spend time waiting for that magical departure day to come???
You can't help but have a fun trip when you're going to DISNEYWORLD!! :cool1:
