Career Start

My name is Rachel Kreft and I am going to Florida for the Career Start program in August and I was wondering if anyone else is going at that time for either Career Start or the College Program.....ohh and I am going down the night before but have no idea where I am going to stay or how I am going to get to the apartments the next day....anyone got any clues???

The interview process is actually very simple. They ask you questions like why you want to do the program and what your favorite park is and stuff like that. Just answer honestly but try to put as much enthusiasm in your voice as you can. That always sounds better and makes it sound like you want it more. It took about 4 weeks for me to find out but that was because I applied the first day I could and I am sure they were really busy. When I was accepted for the College Program in November it only took two weeks cause it was later in the process. So hopefully you won't have to wait as long as I did!!! Oh and if there are question you want to ask during the interview don't be afraid to ask because they want you to. They want you to be as much into this as you possibly can!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

Hey Rachel, I'll be down there for the college program in August, and I was thinking about arriving the day before my check in date and stay in a hotel for the night, since I've heard there is a hotel across from Vista. As far as transportation, there is a transportation service that will take you from the airport to vista or the hotel.

I have to drive an hour just to get to the smallest mall ever and I am three hours away from a major airport. I live in cow country and my friends have always thought I was a freak for being obsessed with Disney. Now they all think it is great and that Disney is the only place I should ever work. I am 19 years old. Have experienced a semester of going away to college and now I work full time as a waitress until the end of July. I am also going to Wisconsin in 12 days!!!! YAY

So that was prob more than y'all wanted to know but tell me about yourselves!!!

As far as anyone knows that is where everyone is checking in but no one knows where they are staying. Alot of people have told me that after they checked in to VW they get moved to Chatham....so who knows. I have AIM my screen name is rachelakreft......everyone is welcome to add me if you want!!!

Yes it is a vacation....I am going to Racine but I guess my friend is taking me all over the place. I have no idea how far Manitowoc is from Racine though. You would know better than me!!!! I am going the 13th through the 21st.

With me, I got the email first and then did some other stuff. But right now is getting close to the end of the interview process and so they probably really are busy. I know that that is why it took so long for me to hear that I even got the job!!!

I did call Casting yesterday, and they said they sent some information in the mail on June 5th, but I still haven't recieved it yet. I asked her if I was accepted and shes said she couldnt tell me over the phone whether I've been offered a position or not, but information was in the mail.

So everythings up in the air right now- I hope I get it tomorrow, but I dont know if its an acceptance or a rejection letter . I'm going crazy- Please wish me luck!!!!

I had my phone interview mid april...my acceptance letter came the week of May 22nd...I was told I will receive the acceptance letter in about two weeks...I think it was more like a month...

I had some many questions for the recruiter..she did a good job.....Just in case anyone driving down...the hotel that is nearest Vista way apt..is the Holiday Inn sunpress it is located on rt 535...stayed there before.

I took my letter about a month....sent it back...the welcome email came today...i need to pay the assessement fee.....I am staying at the Holiday inn sunspree,,it is right down the road..and the rate is $84.99...not a bad hotel...next to it is/was a steak house....

there's an outlet mall...in the area as well...

Where at in Colorado?? I am also from Colorado... VERY small town near Mesa Verde and the "four corners" Umm my sign in date is August 14th in merchandise! :cool1: Umm I am flying (kinda startin to think a car would be nice :confused3 but what can ya do?) This is true. I checked in for the CP on May 24 and arrived at Vista around 8:15. Not only did I get the apartment complex and bedroom amount that I wanted (Chatham and 2-BR), but I was the first one there and got the big bedroom. So it definetely helps.

Trying to find some one ...that would know what kind of uniform.. for one working .qsf&bev....shorts, pants, long or short sleeves...what about shoes..I was told we will need tennis shoes...black or white...depending on where you're working...So far I still don't know where I will be...

It all depends on location. Some areas wear pants, some areas wear dresses/skirts. The shoes also depend.

I'm not sure if it's the same for the Disneyworld program (I applied for the Disneyland one) but after watching the presentation and faxing in the papers I had to call and schedule an interview.
