Hey everyone, I am planning on doing a PI in the fall of 2007 after I graduate with my bachelors. I am hoping that I can stay on as full-time salaried when the internship is over. Has anyone either done this or know if this does happen and is possible. I really want to have a career working for Disney World and I felt this would be the best way to get my foot in the door. Thanks to everyone in advance for any and all information.

try reading the testemonials on www.wdwcollegeprogram.com (http://www.wdwcollegeprogram.com) ... they have some success stories. Even though, it is the official website, so I am sure they might be a little rosier than most, but still they were encouraging none-the-less. good luck!

Honestly you can do it, you have to network a lot, and be in the right location at the right time. It didn't work out for me right after my internship, but I had 2 roomates who are down there in full time roles. When you get down on your internship be sure to let your leaders know you want to start a career with Disney after your internship and see what they recommend.

I know a couple of people for whom things have worked out, and they've been able to stay on full time in a professional or O&T capacity, but I know a LOT more who interviewed, interviewed, and kept interviewing, but were pretty much left with a FT front line role as their only option. A lot of internships will try to keep you on as a CT until you can find something FT, but there are absolutely no guarantees.

I just finished my Management Internship on June 9. I was offered a position in my role/department...so it is possible. It takes a lot of work to impress most of the people you need to impress. Plus, I got really lucky with timing, and a position opened up just 2 weeks before my MI was supposed to end. Regardless of the timing, I was never guaranteed a position. For the first week it was open, my leader told me I wasn't a candidate for the role. But then I got it! Yay!
