We fly to DLP in August (bank holiday weekend in the UK!); Do you think that we need to pre book a taxi for six people?
Are there plenty of taxis?
Sorry another question, which would be the cheaper option, to pre book or not to pre book? Staying at the Holiday inn DLP.
Regards Angela.
Taxi prices seem to vary enormously!! If you want peace of mind and be able to budget exactly what you will be spending, you could book a transfer with one of the private shuttle companies listed in this (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1004423) thread (which can also be found in the Useful Info sticky.)
Having said that, the price of the shuttles are probably closer to the higher taxi prices! So if you are a laid back sort of person and want to try for a bargain, you can always wait to hail a taxi when you arrive! I'm sure there will be plenty waiting for your custom. :)

There is no need to pre-book as there are plenty of taxi. You just get in the taxi line which moves fairly quickly. Do not take a taxi from anyone that approaches you in the terminal as these are not real taxis and could scam you or worse. Only take a taxi from the stand outside.

This is wise advice.
At CDG, go to the taxi stand and let the taxi starter know you have six people. He will make sure you get a taxi van. (When we did this, the taxi starter gave us the very next taxi van, even though there were smaller groups ahead of us.)

Thank you, this seems very sensible advice especially as we do not want to catch the VEA shuttle.Any idea what the cost is for a taxi? Regards Angela
