Great thread. It would be awesome if the first post had a list of resorts and page or post number where each could be found. :)

They look like twin beds. How does that work - The most expensive resort has the smallest beds?

Disneyolic

I think the way the stripes are on the bed it gives the illusion of being smaller than they are.

Maybe that's it. But they are queen beds. We stay there each visit.
They also have the biggest rooms. The daybed is a regular twin size.

The only time I definately miss the track is on giveaway day... by the time you fight the crowds... pay admission, parking and get through the gate... I can pick up whatever 3 hours later on ebay!!!

Going in '08 huh????

I like to bring the camp chairs, cooler, etc and sit out in the "backyard" area... on a nice cool day with an expensive lemonade in my hand and hopefully a winning ticket... heaven!!! :cloud9: (of course I only bet my $2 at a time!!! :lmao: )

I do have a few pictures from both the AKL concierge lounge and the WL concierge lounge that I will post below as well. I hope that helps!

Quote=ead79;20767617]slenderella, I have pictures from our AKL concierge room that I will post below. My WL concierge pictures are from before the refurb, so those wouldn't be too helpful. I do have a few pictures from both the AKL concierge lounge and the WL concierge lounge that I will post below as well. I hope that helps!

Can someone post pics of what a standard view looks like at the Boardwalk Inn?

Also looking for a good room number to request, hopefully an epcot view.

I can't swear to it, but I think the standard rooms are the same size as the concierge rooms. I'll be there this December, so I can post those pics when I get back to see how they compare size-wise (I'll be in a standard room this time). To my knowledge, they haven't announced plans to renovate All Star Movies. They have finished Music and are currently working on Sports, but I don't know if they will do Movies next or not. Maybe because it's newer then the other All Stars, they will wait a while. I wish they wouldn't, because I think the new rooms look much nicer, but who knows. Pop Century is a great value resort--it's definitely my favorite of the values for sure. So if they don't renovated Movies, I would go with Pop Century. :)

I hope that helps!

And it's SOLID chocolate, so the head was almost impossible to eat! It's now just a stomach... Poor Mickey...

ter-moo,

You really should consider posting the picture of your white chocolate Mickey in the 'food porn' thread. It is the most splendiferous thing I've ever seen!! I had to hunt through 3 different threads on three different boards in order to find it again!
I enjoyed your pictures of the BC. We just returned from the BC Villas and it was awesome! I'm quite jealous of your 20th anniversary 'perks' although we also spent our 20th at the World (GF). We did receive a wonderful chocolate trinket box but I would have loved an unetible autographed picture such as yours to keep forever! Congrats!!

Congrats!!

Good idea, heading over there now!:thumbsup2

Here are photos of Parterre Place 9526 at Port Orleans Riverside. I'm splitting them up so they can be seen!

I know that it's not the room, but this is what the quiet pool looks like, complete with the laundry room, located in the brick building:

They show up if you refresh and then wait a LOOOOOOONNNNGGG time. I finally was able to see them, AFTER I'd looked at each one individually by "quoting" and then cutting and pasting each URL. :faint:

Okay - I think that I have fixed the photo download problem and have spread out the photos between three posts. You will want to reference the above posts for more pics. Here are the last of the group.

I'd like to see more GF pictures. I know they have different theming in the different buildings. BTW, that Cape Coral Suite was cool. :thumbsup2

I still can't get over the pics of BCV & BWV. I think I've fallen in love with them.

I know where you can find some of the new Poly suite pics but can't post without the permission of the owner. PM for details.

This is my first time on this paticular thread. I was looking for pics of the Poly. Headed for our first stay there in Jan.
I know this is an extremely rude question, but I am going to ask it anyway.:rolleyes1 (BFF would say typical.)
How have you had the opportunity to stay at all those suites that I have only seen on tv? I saw a reference to the lottery. I don't want specifics, I would just like to know what you do, because I think I need to go back to college for what ever it is!

Elisabeth - Thanks for posting the pictures. Loved to see the iPod docking station. We really liked this feature at GF refurbished room in July. And of course I already mentioned loving the flat screen TV in your other thread, another great addition.

Lucky you - what a great view for a standard room. :thumbsup2 I told DH I am really considering splitting our upcoming stay in June (we are currently booked atrium club at CR) to a few days at YC. I just know we will miss it if we don't spend a few days at Y/BC! Thanks again for the great pics!

It was a great room since it was on a corner. The first picture is the little hallway/entranceway to the room. My parents actually stayed there using our free Starwood points, and they loved the room since it was so quiet, plus they loved the windows. To be honest, I'm not totally sure what category of room it was since my Starwood Preferred Guest status might have bumped it up a little bit. I'm guessing it was either a Resort View or a Disney's Hollywood Studios view since you could see the ToT.

Yes, thanks for the updated YC pics! I wish our room in September had had the upgraded TV and iPod station!

Your room in pictures also looks a bit more "fresh" than the one we had. We had a similar view from a std. room - maybe it had just been "used and abused" a bit. Surprisingly, we had a much better room in '06 at the BC - immaculate condition, and a great std. view too! You usually hear the opposite...

Does anyone have a picture of a GF "dormer room" ?

We didn't have much choice when we booked & another website said these rooms are smaller?

I tried searching this thread but the search function wouldn't work.

Thanks if you can!

I've stayed in the dormer rooms pre renovations... I liked them, but it was only me and my mom. They may be a little smaller, but with the high ceiling it doesn't feel it. They didn't have the daybed in it like the regular rooms so if you are trying to sleep 5, you will have a problem. I'll post some pics and then get you the GF thread so you can see it all there...

Hi HockeyMomR-thanks for the great pics!

Was the daybed comfortable? We will be staying at the YC in March, and I'm considering bringing an air mattress for my son (just in case the daybed is too small or uncomfortable for him to sleep on).

TIA!

My DS now 12 has been sleeping on the Daybeds at YC / BC since he was 5 years old. He loves having his "own bed". He is now 5' 5" tall and slept fine on the YC daybed last July. I have heard people as tall as 5' 9" sleeping on the Y/BC daybeds just fine. Here is a link to a pic from Allearsnet. The back cushions come off the bed, DS says it is very comfortable!

The new type daybeds found at GF, Poly and CR at more of a twin bed size and really comfortable (we have stayed at GF and Poly; DS12 highly recommends these daybeds :) ) Here is a pic of the GF daybed unfolded and unmade after a night of sleep:

I'm getting organized. I've never planned a trip w/ so little time. But it will feel good to get away from all this nasty cold weather in IL.

Love the room pics, but now I am even more confused about where to stay. Thanks! ;) I find one and think that's where we'll stay. Then someone posts another wonderful room and the cycle starts all over. I see more late nights at the computer ahead. :surfweb:

Hiya Everyone!:wave2:

My husband and I are taking our VERY FIRST vacation to Disney World:woohoo: We'll be staying at the CSR. I'm looking forward to sharing our photos in September.;)

Does anyone have a pic of the Standard Rooms/views? We didn't pay the extra for the view nor the king beds...so I'm a bit nervous of what choices we'll have.

That was me. :) The bellman told us that we were one of the few rooms that had received the new flat screen TV's. This was back in mid-December, so I'm guessing that a good percentage of the rooms have them by now.

I've got several new sets of pictures to share, but I'll space them out a bit. :)

Here are pictures from our room at the Swan last year. I can't remember the room number, but it was on the end of a hallway and had two windows. It had a neat view of DHS and AK as well as the back side of the BoardWalk Villas.

Elizabeth, Woo hoo great to see you. :flower3: Wonderful pictures. My DH has talked about staying there. I get the special rate offer. It certainly looks lovely. What made you deceide to stay there? Just wondering....since you have been a GF girl.
