Loved looking at all the pics! Especially the suites. A friend of mine who works at GF told me there is a suite that runs $10,000 a night. (He is not an exagerator) Any ideas?

According to AllEarsNet.Com (http://www.allearsnet.com/acc/faq_gf.htm), the most expensive suite is $2685/night in Holiday season, $1950 in value season.

Lots of pics from all over the ships.....and there are room pics in there too. You have to sort through all the pages to find them though.

glennsgirl 762 and anyone else who has stayed at CSR, do the Ranchos have a dry, hot feeling or do they still feel pretty lush. One of the things I love about visiting WDW is enjoying all of the vegetation. Do the Ranchos have lots of landscaping to enjoy? Your pictures make it look pretty inviting and I didn't expect that.

Thanks for sharing!:daisy:

This is why we don't like CSR. I felt like it was so hot, dry and not enough vegetation. It felt very "plastic" to me.

Looking straight down. There was a wedding going on Friday. As much as I love weddings and pictures I decided not to take any pictures. Didn't know if they would apreciate it. That and the fact that it was in the early morning and I was in my jammies. :rolleyes1 .

I always thought the Yacht Club would be too "stuffy" for me, but looking at these pictures has just added the Yacht Club to my list of Disney resorts that I want to visit!

This has been a great thread! All of the suite pics are amazing! We are considering a stay at the CR after Thanksgiving. There will be 10 of us, so we will prob. stay in the standard rooms. Are all of those located in the North and South wings?

That has to be only the Ranchos section. I've stayed in Cabanas and Casitas and they are both very lush with beautiful plants and flowers and fountains.

Yeah, you must have stayed in the Ranchos section (which is still beautiful, IMHO). We were in the Cabanas section & it was gorgeous. Lots of vegetation, very lush & inviting.

These are a few pics I took of WL courtyard view. I didn't take too many inside the room this time mainly just of the Mickey towel animal left for us when we checked in. I of course left it in the room when I left.

When we were at CBR last year the mousekeepers told my DH to take the towel animals home for the kids, it was their gift to us. . .

we did, of course! They still love looking at them!:goodvibes

Hi again Dizz42 !
Thought you might find this interesting. I dug up a pic I took when we stayed on the 14th floor of the Contemp. It's funny how the rooms looks so different now. This is circa 1998.......the red rose and bottle of wine left on the table was courtesy of the CM's. We were celebrating our anniversary that trip. Sorry I can't remember the room number, but we were facing the MK.

Hello! Has anyone out there stayed in the one bedroom villa at SSR? I've been scrolling through the pictures and I haven't found any (unless I've overlooked them!) My family & I made reservations at BWV for this August. We are a family of 5, 2 adults & 3 children. We have a 1 Bedroom villa. I know that eventually we have to move up to a 2 Bedroom but for now I like to save the points so that we can go a few times. My question is, does anyone remember a certain room & in which the rooms are actually a little bigger that most. From what I have seen through the photos It look as though this is true. Please if you have any info that will help, it will be greatly appreciated. I am having surgery this Thursday and hope all is ok. This info will help my planning out greatly. thanks :grouphug:

From looking at the photos from this thread, I have noticed that some 1 BR at BWV are a bit bigger than others (ie Wrap around balcony, eating area, etc.). I was wondering if there is a certain room number that I should request or to just request one of these larger 1BR. They all may be the same but it looked bigger to me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You are better off asking this question on the DVC boards, but you can check this particular thread out. It's question about BWV studios from 2004, but one poster included a link to a spreadsheet which lists all BWV catagories & some room reports, i.e. location, view, size, etc.

Dear SRUAlmn & wkrider: You're right...It is the Contemporary Resort, 14th floor and that computer is not mine. It was theirs and the internest was free :goodvibes (Pix taken December 30, 2006). When you turned it on, it explained that it was a trial for concierge services and other information. It was kinda cool because there was lots of information about the resort, links to Bell Services, Housekeeping, etc. and, of course, to all Disney sites. But you could also use the internet free too. Maybe you could contact IPO before your trip and ask if they are still running the test. I love the Contempoary and the view from that room...awesome! :wizard:

Yes. There are pictures floating around somewhere, on a trip report, if I remember correctly. I would tell you to do a search, but the search function stinks. Sorry. I wish I could point you in the right direction.

It was an inner courtyard view, on the 4th floor, at the end of the south wing. It was Rm 4161 and here are some pictures of the room and the view. Sorry about the room pictures being kinda dark.

This room was perfect. You could also see the electic water parade go by from the balcony and you could also see some of Wishes going off. The only disadvantage to this room was that it was a bit of a walk to the elevator/lobby but there is a staircase right next door.

Wow! That IS a great view! If we weren't staying at the villas, I'd have to request that room! Thank-you for the pics! We'll be getting to WL next week!

Those pics are fabulous....we will be there in 6 weeks and 6 days (not that I'm counting or very excited). Thanks for sharing them.

Looking at those pictures made me a little sad that I'm not staying there this time. Hopefully staying in a 1br at SSR will help. I read that the resort is great as well.

This makes me what to stay at each resort a few times so I can have a differant room each time so I get a different view each time. I love the one of the wilderness lodge because we are staying there in December. I book a courtyard view. without bunk beds. I believe we will get a king or queen size bed not relly sure because we have never stayed there before.

A BUMP up to Page One :teeth:.

Thanks to the folks who have posted the room-view pics, especially the great WL Concierge-level ones. The view from a room or from its balcony/patio are sometimes an important part of the room itself.

Our room 8441 on the first floor of building 8 in the Broadway section. Great location not far from the pool or the parking lot and even though the resort was very busy due to the Holiday it was pretty quiet.

This interests me - the new studios over in the Grandstand have DVD players? The ones I've stayed in Congress Park didn't, and just wondering if this was a new perk of the latest construction. I did notice that the TV was a newer, "flatter screen" model than the ones we've had before.

Sorry to be OT, but having stayed in both, how did you like the Grandstand? Did you find it further removed?

Grandstand is now my favorite section, it's actually really close to the main buildings and is the first bus stop - but it is much less convenient to DTD.

WOW, I sure am glad that I ran across this thread...talk about making future resort decisions harder to make. We werent sure which resort to stay in next June for our sons graduation, now we are really not sure. We have stayed at POR 5 times, and CBR for one night before boarding the Wonder. We will be going next June for 2 weeks to celebrate his graduation, one week split between BC and AKL and one week on Magic. Now to figure out which suites or rooms. What is concierge like, or which does anyone prefer?:)

I really liked staying concierge. The staff was wonderful and did a great job scheduling all of our ADRs, tours, massages, and even my last minute pedicure. We had breakfast every morning in the concierge lounge and it was always great to nip up for a snack during the day, cocktail and quick appetizer in the evening and/or dessert before bed.

I actually needed a foot stool to get into the bed in our BWI Garden Suite and the concierge staff found me one. They were so fabulous! I felt completely relaxed from the minute they came down to greet us in the main lobby and took us upstairs to get all of our paperwork.

Yes, it cost a little more to stay concierge but the service was TOTALLY worth it!

The closet area looks as though it did not change, sliding slated doors; not the same as the new Poly renovated room. There is now the new safe (digital) in the closet sitting upon as small stand with two shelves (same as Poly safe and stand). Sorry no pictures of this. I think the ottoman was a great idea as well.

Interesting--I was thinking they would probably do the same thing at the GF that they did over at the Poly and CR. The new furniture is very rich looking with the darker finish, and I'm glad they kept the Mickey lamp. I miss the pillows with A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes on them, but overall I like the new decor. Thanks for your compliment as well--it was a dream come true!

I have a question after looking at the Beach Club resort pics on here - I've seen on a couple sites including Disney's own site that a standard room (studio?) comes either with a king-size bed or 2 queens. Is that true? I'm hoping to rent points for next March and need 2 queen beds.

You may be confusing the Beach Club (hotel side) with the Beach Club Villas (DVC side). The regular BC standard rooms have either 2 queens, or a king bed (by request only - you can't reserve one type over another). The BCV studios have a queen bed, and a full-size sleeper sofa.

If you're looking at renting DVC points, then you would be staying at BCV, with the above-mentioned queen and sleeper sofa.

If you want to rent DVC points and need 2 queens, your best bet is the OKW studios. They have 2 queen beds. All other DVC studios have the queen bed and sleeper sofa.

We're going to the Contemp in a few weeks so I'll have to compare the storage then. We thought there was a good amount of storage at the Poly Hawaii longhouse. I'm excited to compare the too.

Thanks for the pics, I will be staying onsite for the first time. At all star movies. I asked for the 101 dalmation building because that is my fav. Movie.

Ok I am going to be the only one I think who does not like the remodeled Contemporary rooms. Way to contemporary for me. I really do not like them.

I don't like contemporary style either, but I would love to stay there for the location.

Count me in as one who is not crazy about the new CR rooms - toooo contemporary. Did not like the previous design either - too bright and crazy - but loved the one in the late 80's - contemporary, but warm and pretty. :)

We just stayed at the CR for our honeymoon. I was really excited about the new rooms because I love contemporary decor and I thought they were very pretty. Plus, I LOVED the computers and free internet in the rooms! I have to say, though, that it wasn't very magical (which is a shame to have to say for your honeymoon.) The location is great, the rooms were VERY nice, but it just didn't 'feel' like Disney to us. Plus, there were lots of conventions going on and people were always in the halls in suits and stuff and it just felt really strange. We felt like we were on vacation at the Hilton in some major city, not like we were in WDW.

I know what you mean, but my family has only been to Disney once (we stayed at POFQ) so if I got the chance to go again, I'd be willing to give it a try if my top picks didn't have openings. That's assuming I could afford to stay at a deluxe.;)

I stayed twice at the Contemporary when I was younger going with my parents. But now that I'm older and married with a child, the Contemporary is the last deluxe I would choose to stay. It's the less Disney magic on property, I think. My husband also thinks it looks like an airport. He says we could stay at MCO for cheaper.... But those rooms do look gorgeous and you can't beat the tower magic kingdom view. Guess I'll just stick to eating at CG. :sad2:

Thanks, y'all! We're returning to the YC this December, and we're really looking forward to it. My husband is hoping that it's warm enough to try Stormalong Bay (I know they heat the pool, but it's the getting to and from the pool that's the problem, LOL!).

Wow, I stayed the same time as you did! I was in a South Garden Wing room, though. The room looks exactly the same, except for the view.

I need to ask: what is that giant breath-saver-looking thing in the CR shower?

It looks like a paper-wrapped bar of soap.

I think I like the new CR design (certainly better than what it was before). But I understand those who don't like it (my wife is one). It's not much of a theme.

But I would love to stay there just for the location. I'm very much a MK kind of guy (three daughters under the age of 6 will do that).
