1. How far in advance can you book flights using airmiles through West Jet? I've read 330 days but there online schedual dosn't even go back that far for normal bookings?

2. I've read that some people will do double bookings (2 one day 2 the next) due to limited seating. Dosn't the collector have to be one of the people using the ticket??? Or can you redeam tickets for others and not be part of the travel party?

3. Are you able to do the 12 hour prior on-line check-in to obtian seating together the same as paying passangers?

When I was booking my flight to Ft Lauderdale for Dec 22 using Airmiles, I would check WestJet site to see when the flights became available. In Feb they showed up on their site, I then called Airmiles, the flights had not showed up on their system and was told that they don't usually show up until about 6 months in advanace and to keep calling in. I would call once a week. March 3 they were available and I was able to book. I was told that there are only 5-6 seats per plane for Airmiles seats.

I booked my daughter and her boyfriend using my Airmiles with no problem.

At the present time, only travel within Canada can do the pre-checkin on line.

I booked from Calgary to Orlando 135 days in advance with Airmiles, so I'm not sure how far out you can book.

There's no requirement about the cardholder travelling, but the card holder does have to make the booking (i.e. you can't book yourself using someone else's card).

As phabric mentioned you can't do the web check-in on flights to the U.S. Airmiles or not, but you can do the web check-in on domestic flights booked with Airmiles. You just need to use the right confirmation # (i.e. the WestJet one and not the Airmiles one).

I just got approved for the Westjet Airmiles Mastercard, but haven't received it yet. I'm curious if anyone can figure out how many Airmiles it would be for a round trip from Winnipeg to Orlando with the Westjet Mastercard discount??

Please??

With Gold WestJet MasterCard it is l,400 low season/pp and 1,600 high season. I used my miles for Christmas Toronto - Ft Lauderdale for 1,600 with my Gold WestJet MasterCard going with WestJet compared with a regular WestJet flight for 2,800 airmiles.
