When you are booking your flights which one do you put the priority on, the flight arrival and departure times or the cost? I keep going back and forth. One day it seems that I am looking for a price under whatever amount and then other days I think the heck with it just look at the flight that will give you the most time at your destination. My Continental flight hasn't budged in price for the last 6 months but it has exactly the flight times that I want. Would you continue to wait or go ahead and schedule it?

If you are talking a couple hours earlier or later - I would go for price.

If you're talking a difference in days - I would go for times.

But hey, that's just me!

I agree with Pluto4President....if there is only a small price difference, I'd go for the time. If the price difference is significant, and you don't mind a few extra hours difference on either end, I'd go for the money. It's up to you! Have a great trip. :)

One thing to look at if the price difference is significant - check the flights the evening before, evening flights are usually the least expensive. Take the money you would save vs a night in a hotel in Orlando. Check All Star or hotels near the airport to get the least expensive room. I did this with 2 friends in Feb - we were planning to meet friends from other cities on a Thursday, but the flights that day were expensive. So we took a flight on Wednesday evening arriving around 9:00pm and stayed at the Sheraton by the airport ($69 I think). They had a free shuttle from the airport, so we took it to the hotel and back to the airport in the morning where we rented our car (we had a great rate on the car for Thursday and couldn't change it to Wednesday night). We arrived at Coronado at 8:30am and were able to get our rooms! So we ended up with more time at WDW and saved some money!

I like to travel early am with no stops so I feel I have a full day in the world. Leaving from Bradley in Ct the only non-stops are around 7 am. I just hope for a good fare because that's the flight I will book. I'll arrive by 10 am and I'm happy.

How far away is your trip? Fares have been fluctuating wildly since 9/11, so it's hard to believe there are still fares out there that haven't budged. I'm on the e-mail list of several airlines and I have been getting sale announcements in my Inbox every day!
