Has anyone bookded flights from Halifax to Orlando for next April? they are quite high right now. When they have seat sales, is it just the lower priced seats that go on sale? They have direct for the dates that I want, but very expensive right now. Over $1,ooo. right now. Where do you find the best deals on flights.

We are a family of 5 and we too found the fares INSANELY expensive out of Halifax. So much so that we've opted to drive to Boston (10 hour drive) and get a direct Delta flight to MCO. We've booked for March 9-23, 2007 and the cost was $1409 CAD for ALL of us! :banana:

As for Canadian Carriers, I say the best deal that may come around is with Canjet/Westjet probably about 550-600+ pp out of Halifax and that would be a deal.

Also, April is Easter time next year which is peak period.

You should try www.bookingbuddy.com and try Kayak.com, some of the American carriers aren't too bad.

We wanted to go with Allegiant Air out of Portsmouth, NH, it would have cost our family of 5 about $900 USD however their fares won't be out for quite some time and we wanted to grab our seats now. Also, flying out mid week helps.

What makes no sense is my niece is flying from Calgary to join us and she can fly out of Calgary with Frontier Airlines for $503 and we're a LOT closer than she is. :confused3

For some reason flights out of Halifax are extremely expensive.
