I don't know what to do for costumes yet though. I need to think, think, THINK! I'm just worried about being too warm in a costume. We're used to going to WDW in January or the end of november -- not during this warm weather stuff! :rotfl:
But anyways, we'll be looking out for anyone that's at All-Star Sports from September 13-22! :Pinkbounc

Update-I got my tickets in the mail for 9/15 about a week ago! Yeah-and I told my mom we were going. I think it'll be great. We have ADR at LTT for 5:55.

Momof1princess-we'll look for you at the pool! I haven't decided what building to request yet. I'm thinking about the 70's or 80's building B. We like to be near the food court and the parking lot. We'll have our own rental vehicle. Look for our green mickeys!

Now all I have to do is figure out a costume that won't be too hot and go with my green crocs (unless I get a pair of Scutes before I go!) DD6 princess: -princess-done!

to wear to the party. :hmghost: :hmghost: :hmghost:

This trip is a surprise for the kids, and it's killing me to keep it a secret. We are telling them sometime next month. I can't wait to go to MNSSHP! I've never been to a special event at WDW, and the party sounds like so much fun!

I just bought our tickets for the 15th!... We have ADR's @ Tony's for 5:45 that night... It'll be our first MNSSHP, and I'm the ONLY one of the four of us that knows about it!... I'm wondering if I shouldn't keep this one thing to myself?... I'm the ONLY one that has done any of the planning... might be a nice surprise for them all to come out of Tony's to a transformed MK... What do you think?... I doubt anyone except me would want to dress up, so I don't think I'd be denying them anything.... of course, when we get there and are handed Trick-or-Treat bags the jig might be up... :rolleyes1

Can't WAIT!!!!... :wizard:

OMG I got a great deal on airline tixs and we are going to MNSSHP on the 15th too! Can't wait as we've never been before & are really excited.

Does it feel like you get into it more if you are in costume? I know it will still be hot/humid so I'd need to figure out something for us and if we went in costume it would be cool to match up.

DH is 6 foot and skinny, DS is 9 (& skinny) and I'm 5'6" & not so skinny, lol! Any ideas?

We're staying at Pop for just the nights, then we'll be back in December!

BF and I will be there too!! I am so excited about it. :cool1: I'm going with a non-disney themed costume - A flapper girl - only because I have the dress already, its short, and sleeveless which means cool!

BF isn't sure what he is going as quite yet.

Oh and we will be at pop from 9/10-9/16. I think I might request a room near the big wheel as that was each of our favorite toy growing up.

Count us in! We will be at POP 9/9 - 9/17. DD7, DS12, DH and Me.
Not only is the MNSSHP a surprise for my kiddos but the trip is a surprise. I can hardly stand it. We are trying to keep the secret until the evening before we leave. :lmao: I am truly about to bust to tell them. :)
My husband almost blew it the other day when my daughter was talking about the space shuttle. She said she wanted to go into outer space and he said well you can when we go to Disney. I gave him the look and said, "Well, when do you think that will be?" He said, "maybe in 2 years." He was shocked at how easily the secret was almost spilled. Hopefully it went right over her head.

WOOHOO! We'll be there on the 15th as well. It will be me, DH, DD, baby son and my mom. My daughter wants to be a superhero... so I'm trying to convince her that the Incredibles is better than Superman or Spiderman. That way I can get away with a pair of pj pals and she'll be cool and comfy for the night. Still no clue about the rest of us. I'm having a tough time finding a warm weather costume for a baby.

Also it is my husband's birthday so we'll be doing a birthday dinner at 5:40 at Tony's.

The best part about doing MNSSHP on the 15th??? My daughter turns 3 on the 16th so we didn't have to buy her a ticket!

I will be the one in the homemade HM hostess outfit (as long as there is no sewing involved), DH will be himself, and DD3 will be a princess (possibly Belle in the red holiday dress). I will try to find something DIS-ish so you can identify me! It would be awesome if we ran into some of you!

Add us to the list of Double Dippers going to MNSSHP the night before our embarkation day... we must be insane! :confused3 We are going to be the tired looking group in the terminal Saturday morning...hopefully with face paint still on! ::yes:: I don't know how we're supposed to fly in, hit MNSSHP and drive to the port all on the 15th...but we're gonna' do it (if our flight's not delayed) I'll go get the other double dippers from the cruise meets who have decided to come to the party to come say "hi"

Incidentally, if you buy the tickets and your flight is delayed (we fly in MCO at 5:00pm) can you get a refund for MNSSHP? I know they're not refundable generally speaking... but wishful thinking......If we miss the party on friday, we'll need consolation drinks at the "sail away party" on Saturday :rotfl:

I doubt they would give you a refund for that because that's not in their realm of control. If it was something on their part that caused you to not be able to attend MNSSHP (i.e. they canceled it or some other reason), then I could see being given a refund. But otherwise I'm pretty sure they stick by their non-refundable policy.

OK you all, I need your HONEST opinion for my costume . . . and warning . . . don't laugh -- I am serious.

I am trying to not pack a whole lot of things for my trip so I thought, "why not go to the Emporium that day and buy a pair of cute PJ's (that cover everything and do not show anything - I am pretty conservative), a pair of Mickey house shoes, buy a Winnie the Pooh bear, wear some cute Disney barretts and go dressed like that for my costume".

I am about 40 years young.

Is that costume idea for MNSSHP dumb? :confused3

mking624

I don't think that's dumb....I think it's adorable!! If your hair is somewhat long, put it up in pigtails as well!

Another set of double-dippers! I just found out a couple of days ago about MNSSHP being on the 15th! We will be exhausted the next day too! But as long as I get on that ship, I'll be fine :thumbsup2

Does anyone know of good websites for children's halloween costumes (other than Disney Direct)? DD8 wants to be a genie, and now I've got to locate one about a month ahead of schedule! Will DH and I be out of place if we don't dress up?

Believe it or not ebay is a good place for costumes! Also, there's www.deadmentellnotales.com for good pirate gear (we got a lot of stuff from there for the cruise) and try www.buycostumes.com. I don't think you'll look out of place without costumes...not everybody dresses up - but it is fun if you do. I didn't want to pack my pirate garb, I was going to send it to the ship prior to sail date but now I am going to rethink my packing to see if I can fit the pirate stuff into our lugagge. If you don't wear a costume, consider getting your face painted at WDW - it's part of the fun at the halloween party and it's free. :artist:

I have to thank you pixiedust34! I don't know how since I'm on here everyday, but I never knew until today when I saw a post of yours that MNSSHP was this early! We are there from 9/10-9/17.
I was so excited, I called my TA right away, ordered my tickets and she even got me a table at LTT for 4:15! It will be a magical night and to think I almost missed out on it.

:confused3

Debbie, I think it's a CUTE idea!! Go for it girl! :cheer2:

Hi 3princesses4US AND cocowum!

My family will also be dining on the 15th at LTT- 4:05. I have no idea what costumes or even if we will do costumes.
There will be 4 of us..DD7 and DS12.

My kids have no idea about MNSSHP or even about the trip. :rotfl:
We plan on telling them the night before we leave. Hopefully I can come up with a great idea soon. I know it will be HOT!!! Have to think of something lightweight and cool. :cool1:

I can hardly contain myself! :woohoo:
 See ya there!

Me, my husband, and son have finally decided what we're doing for costumes.
My son changed his mind and is going as a ghost. . . . .and for confort reasons me and my husband have decided to do Halloween shirts made at zazzle.com
So, anyone at the party or Liberty Tree Tavern (our ADR is for 5:45) spotting a 5 year old ghost with a guy wearing this:

and a pregnant woman wearing this:

Hi-we'll be at LTT at 5:50. :cool1: We'll look for your t-shirts. They look really cute! We (my mom and myself) will probably be wearing t-shirts too-I'm still working on them. My DD6 will most likely be a princess, or maybe a UCLA Bruins cheerleader-she has an authentic uniform that her grandparents bought her at Christmas.

So look for us-you'll recognize us by my daugher, see pictures below.

We are soo excited, this will be our first MNSSHP. We have dinner ressies at The Crystal Palace at 5:00pm. The only one dressing in a costume will be my DD who is going as Minnie Mouse. I will wear a Halloween tshirt though, it's just too hot to wear anything else. I hope everone has a GREAT time and doesn't get sick from all the candy.

Add DH and I to the group! Sounds like there will be a lot of DISers at the POP (we're 9/9 - 9/16)! Haven't decided what we'll wear yet, but probably Halloween tees. DH is a fuddy duddy about costumes but has a couple Jack Skellington or villain shirts he could wear. I hope the MNSSHP shirts are cute this year!

I saw the other thread about Casey's but wanted to post here too. We'll be at MNSSHP on the 15. We'll probably be dressed in Star Wars costumes (if dh gets his behind in gear and makes his darth reveal mask - the half mask that doesn't cover the face). 2 adults and 4 cranky children! lol

I'm now thinking that we should go too. It's our last night in the world, but we're eating at Epcot. What time does the party start and what time is the parade? I'd hate to miss that.

Anyone have any timing info so I can decide if it's going to be worth it? My older ds will have no problem, but younger ds is only 4 and I'm worried it will be too late for him, although I'll have his stroller.

And thanks for posting that Razzle website. I love those shirts. If we do this, I will definitely get them for me and dh to wear. How long does it take to ship?

The party starts at 7:00 & ends at midnight. I think the first parade is around 8:00 (??--someone correct me if I'm wrong) and Hallowishes is usually around 9:15. If you're coming from Epcot, maybe you can take the Monorail to the TTC and transfer to the MK Monorail.

My Zazzle shirt took about a week to arrive.

I'm looking forward to the party! :goodvibes

If you are interested in meeting up with others at MNSSHP, please go to the link for info.

I'm not sure what our itinerary is yet for the evening, but I'll keep an eye on the meet info and will try to stop by if we're in the area. I'm letting my kids decide how to spend our party time.

What a great time?!?! It was my first "seasonal" Disney party and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the theming. I'm still wearing my orange bracelet but not thrilled to be home.

It was quite the damp night ;) I hope all enjoyed regardless... :confused3 :wizard:
