I made a craft out of sculpey clay and formed it by laying it out on a print out of the design. I am afraid that if I try to get it off of the paper it will get ruined. Has anyone ever baked the clay while it is still on paper, the whole thing on a galss plate.

The paper might burn in the oven & then the whole thing would get ruined that way from scorch marks. Burnt fumes from Sculpey is very dangerous also. Try sliding a spatula underneath to pick up your piece I transfer it.

Spray your spatula with some non-stick and try to move the paper under it letting the clay ride up onto it.But no paper in the oven it will catch.

All depends on the type of paper. I've baked many a things on index cards with no scorch marks or burnt fumes.
