I am looking at flying instead of driving. How do you people get cheap flights and how cheap are they? Where is the best place to look to book flights out of Buffalo. Is SW better than Jet Blue. Is it best to wait until closer to departure date. Please help I would much rather fly than drive but I don't know where to start.

You should sign up for www.southwest.com newsletter and download their DING program to get cheap airfares. There is a Ding available for the month of June for $49 each way until 7:30pm CST tonight.
It's better to book early sometimes than to wait til the last minute. However, I've gotten $25 flights waiting until 2 wks before. I've never flown JetBlue, but have heard they are good.

Depending when you want to fly you can get very cheap flights out of Buffalo. However, if you're looking for Christmas, March Break etc they may be harder to come by. Otherwise you can get very good deals if you get DING and check Airtran and Southwest frequently

We fly SW and love it.They fly direct to Orlando. Even regular fare is way cheaper than from Toronto. We booked online. When 2 people couldn't come on our trip even though we had bought discounted tickets we recieved that amount as a credit and were able to book a "free" flight 2 months later for 2 other people in our family. I think we booked about 4 months ahead. Good Luck.

A couple of questions. 1. Are these US prices? 2. I tried to sign up for Ding but it needed a zip code. What do I do? Download Zing and then what. Help I am really out to lunch.

1. Yes, the prices listed are US prices.
2. The Zip code for Buffalo is 14225.
3. The program is called DING and yes, download it to get cheaper fares.
