Just my luck, right? :sad2:
DH and I have waited soooo long to finally take our honeymoon and they are calling for rain :umbrella: and cooler temps Monday 5/15 - Wednesday 5/17...

We leave Thursday. :rolleyes2
It's going to be wet and humid. I am glad Orlando will finally get the much needed rain but I confess, I'm bummed out too. I really wanted it to be FlORIDA SUNSHINEY! :sad2:
Oh well.

I'm not seeing too much cooler weather in the forecast...
7 day outlook on Weather Channel just now, has the lowest temp being Tuesday at 81 with T-storms (30% most likely not an all day wash out type day. The average temp fo this time of year is 88 and night time 65 - so we are running pretty close to average!
This is the 10 Day from www.weather.com (http://www.weather.com) - I find them pretty reliable -

Don't panic. I was there last year the same week you are going. The weather forcast didn't look good. It called for rain 3 out of our 5 days. We did not see one drop of rain. :cool1: It was sunny all week!

first let me start off by saying Congratulations and dont worry about anything. Most of the time when it rains in Disney its a passing shower. Also, how many times have the weathermen been wrong?!?!?!? Dont worry about a thing and just enjoy yourself ... :) have a great time and report back and let us know how everything was! :)

The first year we went to Disney, it rained every afternoon we we were there at the same time. We found out that it rained at the same time every afternoon. Some kind of way we were always back at our hotel by the time it rained. One day we did get caught in one of afternoon afternoon showers. After carrying my rain poncho in my bag, I decided to leave it in the room. I had to buy a poncho in the park. :lmao:
Unless the storms are severe, I wouldn't worry about the rain. It doesn't last long, about 15 or 20 minutes. Take a pncho or an umbrella and have a wonderful perusing the shops!

Oooh...I'm more stressed about the forecast for temps...92...that's not bad in West Texas, but figure in the humidity out there, and we'll be melting like wet sugar...

I'll take a rainy day at disney than a 100 degree day in July ANY DAY.
The good lord made me waterproof. Just consider it a vertical pool that follows you around. :goodvibes
Bottom line, people stay away from the parks..especially MK. That in my opinion is the only way that you even come close to doing MK in one day.

Remember, when they say 'cooler temps' here in FL, it's all relative. What they means is, 84 as opposed to 90. Or something like that.

I wouldn't worry about it, for all the reasons already posted and besides meteorology is a crap shoot science anyway. Noone can really accurately predict the weather.... SORRY AL, Oh wait he's just the weather man.

Raining weather in May/June is a blessing in disguise
*keeps the locals away/crowd level down
*temp somewhat cooler
*less humidity
*resort pools are less crowded too (of course, beware thunderstorms)
We were in MK one day when it was reported on local news that it rained almost 10 inches! Did shred our cheap ponchos, we sprung for the mickey's; but still had a great time...one of our more memorable trips.
Have a wonderful honeymoon!

I agree with the locals away/crowd levels down and resort pools less crowded but as a Floridian rain does not make for less humidity and its only cooler while the rain is falling. When the rain stops, its a sauna down here. Right now its raining and its 72 but the humidity is 87%.
When they say 30% chance of rain it might rain for 15-30 mins tops. When it says 100% plan on rainy conditions all day long. It might not rain all day exactly but there will be a lot of overcast (love going for walks on the beach on these days). But remember this if there is lightning seek shelter. Don't chance it. The stores or restaurants are a great place to escape a storm (not to mention unloading some of that hard earned money you are givingto Disney. lol)

No rain today but another large brush fire in Central FL. We really need the rain. I would hate to see any brush fires break out near WDW.

Don't worry about it! On our last trip, it said rain everyday and I freaked out just like you! Of course, it rained once for 10 minutes and didn't cause a problem at all! Have fun!
