How much do I pay & when?

I am a little confused about how to book for '07. I want a room only ressie. If I go through a travel agency do I owe just the one night deposit? When is the balance due? Is it due in full 45 days prior, like with a package? Or is the deposit $200 with the balance due 45 days prior? I have booked a package through AAA and a room only by myself, but I don't know the rules for doing room only through a TA. I don't want to waste a TA's time if I should be doing the ressie myself. I want the deal where I pay one night up front and can cancel without penalty the week before. Can a TA do that or no? :confused3

You would pay for a night as the deposit. The rest is payable when you get there if all you have is a room. If it is a package then you would pay $200 and pay the rest 45 days in advance of your trip.

Thanks! We will be buying APs & DDE in August so for next year we will just need the room. I didn't want to be stuck paying the room in full 45 days from arrival through a TA, but if the rules are the same I will probably get a TA to help me navigate the AP rates. (Assuming there ARE AP rates. ;) )
