I know odd question, but I am packing for my trip on Friday, and I had a puzzling moment. Can you carry on your pins in your carry on? Has anyone done this? What happened? Any answers would be great! Thank you so much!

Sorry I should have been more clear, Pins such as Disney Pins, or Lanyard Pins.

Not an odd question; I had the same one myself two weeks ago before my trip & didn't think to post on here and ask!; I opted to pack them in my checked-in bag for fear of them having to being thrown out, etc. if security check point did not allow them to go through in my carry-on.

Hope you get some responses with answers!! :wave2:

Well after calling NWA because I was throughly confused by their website, which offers no explaination on what can be taken away... I was told that it should not be a problem, but to allow extra time so that if they want to search me they can. Gee I am so looking forward to that! I would still like to hear some experienced travels give me their 411, so please feel free to post.

Thanks!
Whit

My daughter wears and or puts her lanyard in her carryon backpack all the time flying from AZ to CA. We generally fly SWA but have done so on Delta in the past. Never a problem or questions asked.

I wonder if you could avoid the search by wearing the lanyard and just putting it in the dish with keys, watch, etc.? Then they'd see exactly what it was without having to dig through your stuff? Then once you're through you could just put it in your carry-on.

I think this is a good idea or put them in your purse so you can get to them quickly to show them what it is.
