2007 Moderate Resort Rates are Loaded!!!

I was able to confirm the Moderate Resorts are loaded in the system with 2007 Room Only Rates and the other levels will be coming soon followed by packages....(remember booking can be 500 days in advance, packages and discounts will come later)

The moderates will use the same new 5 season tier established for the value resorts (same dates as well)

Here it is

Value 1/1-2/14; 8/5-10/4; 11/25-12/19 $145 Standard; $160 Water or King ($6 & $5 increase)
Regular 4/15-5/23; 10/4-11/24 $165 Standard; $185 Water or King ($10 increase)
Summer 5/24-8/4 $175 Standard; $195Water or King ($20 increase for this time from last year as it was Regular Season)
Peak 2/15-4/14 $185 Standard; $210 Water or King ($10 & 11 increase)
Holiday12/20-12/31 $199 Standard; $225 Water or King ($10 increase)

wow, I can not believe how high the prices are. I'm afraid to see the delux prices. I'm so glad I bought into DVC last year.

DVC is looking better and better now-I also bought last year. We love POR too so I'm hoping that there will be some decent AP rates or specials in 2007.

If they can book them up at those prices...well, more power to 'em I guess. I really can't see paying that though...for a little motel room with double beds. Granted, they are really nice motels, but geez.

Glad we have DVC... but I think our days of adding weekend nights at a moderate resort are over for now.

Wow! Those are high for the mods! When do you suppose deluxe rates will be out? We want to stay at the Polynesian garden concierge next summer....

Also, will there be a "summer" season for deluxe resorts? On mousesavers it still only had value, regular, peak and holiday.

The moderate increases are about 5% with the exception of guests visiting in the "new season".

It is believed all resorts will have the "5th season" but noone knows for sure until they publish it.

For some reason they are doing Villas rates now before deluxes so it's a little more of wait.

If you think these prices are high for moderates, where else would you stay? Sorry, I don't have the money to buy into DVC. I am renting points next year for Easter and it is $10 a point. Points are running me 16 a day, so I guess I will be saving $20 a day. I'll also be splitting my stay, can't afford DVC points on the weekend.

Hopefully a code will come out this fall, but I doubt it.
