Traditional animated: Beauty and the Beast
CGI: Toy Story

I just never get bored watching Toy Story or Toy Story 2. After MANY watchings, I still cry during Beauty and the Beast.

1. Lion King
2. Monster's Inc.
3. Finding Nemo

My DW has all of the classic animated Disney movies memorized, but sad as it may seem, I've never seen most of them. I finally saw Cinderella for the first time about a month ago. So now we are going back and watching the rest of them.

Walt Disney once said that his favorite was Bambi. But I'd have to answer your question with the FIRST one. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It set the standard for all the others.

Beauty and the Beast
I am generally do not put much stock in the Oscars, but you gotta hand it to the entire team that created BATB! Even the academy saw something in BATB to nominate it for Best Picture. I know people who aren't even fans of Disney who love this film. Too bad we've lost Howard Ashman and Jerry Orbach... Thankfully, we get to see this one on Broadway as well. This is the movie I collect the most merchandise of, and I cannot tell you how excited I was to get a 2 sided advance movie poster on eBay of this one! And of course, it helps the fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast is a favorite of mine...so I enjoy any stories that has that theme in it.

The Little Mermaid
BATB edges this one out in my mind, but I love this one too!

Pretty much all the Pixar movies. Unlike Disney lately, Pixar knows how to create and tell good stories with well developed characters.

I forgot to add Lady and the Tramp. This is the reason on why I have a dog named Lady and she looks similar to lady from Lady and the Tramp. God I love that dog- such a cute face and those big eyes and floppy ears- who can't resist?

My all-time absolute favorite Disney movie is The Little Mermaid. I fell in love with it from the very beginning. I still have the original video that came out nearly 20 years ago... you know...the one that has the *ahem* on the front of the case. hint: it rhymes with venus

I love Lion King, and I think Lady and the Tramp of the old classics, although I loved them all, and I'm not sure if it belongs here because it's only partly animated, and I guess, not PC,but I did as a child, and still do adore Song of the South

The Lion King

The beginning when all the animals gather for the dedication, the music is so strong. You feel the music in your chest, so powerful. Then when the Raficki (sp) holds up the new baby....WOW, I cry everytime I see that and its the beginning of the movie.

:cool1: Love  lady and the tramp
When i was a kid my favorite was "Song of the South" but I think it's because my Dad took me the day it opened and he never took me to the movies.
I can't find that movie anymore, is it because of the sterotypes in it? My kids love splash mountian and those characters are from SOTS.

Top 3 in no particular order:

Little Mermaid
Lady and the Tramp
Aladdin

I really enjoy them all, except Alice in Wonderland. My DD loved this as a toddler (which means it was on all the time and I just got sick of it...everyone remember Barney too).

#1 Beauty and the Beast (Tale as old as time...)
#2 The Little Mermaid (Under the sea...under the sea...)
#3 Toy Story (You've got a friend in me...)

I love Lion King, and I think Lady and the Tramp of the old classics, although I loved them all, and I'm not sure if it belongs here because it's only partly animated, and I guess, not PC,but I did as a child, and still do adore Song of the South

I just listened to a podcast that said Song of the South was never released in the US. Maybe they meant on VHS/DVD?

#2 The Little Mermaid (Under the sea...under the sea...)
#3 Toy Story (You've got a friend in me...)

I agree 110% Those are my top three Disney animated movies (if a Pixar computer animated movie counts as Disney). If not, then I would say that Cinderella/Fox and the Hound/101 Dalmations/Aladdin are all tied in 3rd place for me. BUT...Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid are my favorites (in that order) followed by Toy Story if that "counts". ;)

Old school: Sleeping Beauty, Fantasia & Robin Hood(I just get such a kick out of the choice of animals to play each character)
New School: Little Mermaid(though talk about a 180 degree turn in the ending from the original fairy tale!) & Lion King
CGI: Toy Story
