I am starting a new Disney Resort Picture of the day thread and here are the rules. Similar to the other thread please only post one picture per day and No characters! This thread will be to show the resorts off and to help other members see the great aspects of the Disney resorts in Disney World. We want to see the rooms, landscaping, things to do (i.e. Flag family at WL), hidden Mickeys etc. but no characters. :woohoo: Thanks so much in advance, so I will be first. :banana:

There is a test board on here on how to post pictures. Best thing to do is to upload your favorite pictures to a site like www.Photobucket.com, it is a free site and copy the url address from that site of the picture you want to post. Reply in this thread and start with paste the address here with no spaces . those are the key things. Give it a shot. If it works your picture will show up here. Good luck :thumbsup2

This is such a great thread. I've never stayed at a Disney Resort so it's nice to get a feel / view of different ones.

On our last trip, we were trying to find a "grumpy" shirt for my FIL and we had to go to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Here is one picture I took there. Other than this, I didn't get a chance to ever see other resorts. Keep them coming...

Thanks ktink. I took that picture while at the Boardwalk (the resort we were staying at). I'd also definitely love to stay at the Yacht Club one day. It's a beautiful resort.

Ok not to sound silly, but I really don't know. This was an unexpected trip for me(free trip from mil)& everything was already booked. I was just excited to be there & really did not pay attention or remember what room we were in.

Thanks :goodvibes There is a place at POP where the check in area is and the food court and gift shop and all that. Now when you walk out of that area into where the Resort rooms are you head to the right and after you pass a couple buildings or so you will see a pool. There are 2 large icons right before the pool. The large icons are Lady and the Tramp. Lady is on one side and the Tramp is on the other side.

tone.def thanks for the pic. from the beach! We will be staying at the Dolphin the last 2 nights of our trip because we love Epcot and the Boardwalk area. I had forgotten where the Dolphin was in relation to the other resorts. Any others of the Dolphin or Swan so I can get my bearings right? Thanks.

Yes it is from the room. We were in room 3433 Building C 50's section.

The higher fireworks from Epcot were visible and there was one night where we could see some of Wishes.

Well the pics are nice but it isn't nearly as much fun as the original thread I read all 174 pages of it and it made me smile and laugh and the pics were also great. This thread needs a lighter atmoshphere than it currently has it seems far to steril and uptight.

Actually yes I liked that about the other thread and all teh chit chat back and forth about resorts and anything else that came to mind from seeing the pictures people posted it was a fun thread. Don't get me wrong I love the Disney resorts but there just doesn't seem to be any FUN involved in the chatter etc on this thread.

Come to think of it I do find a couple of Disney resort to be uptight and sterile those being the beachand Yacht club and the Grand Floridian and Dixie Landings. And the Swan and Dolphin albeit not owned by Disney. I am a DVC member and still prefer to stay at places like Boardwalk and the All Stars where you can just run around and have fun and jump into a prop like Declansdad did with his son I couldn't even imagine trying that at one of the resorts I mentioned I think they would likeley shame you out of the GF for something like that LOL...

Well the AllStars are value resorts so you can get great rates on those. I only paid $59 a night for my 8 day Valentine's trip and $49 a night for my 8 day Birthday trip :goodvibes It's hard to get a rate lower than that at a hotel that is not in DisneyWorld.

Now I am an annual passholder so that helped me get a really low rate during their value season. But even if you are not an annual passholder you can still get good rates on those value resorts go to this link http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/resorts/resortRates?id=AllStarMovieResortRatesListingPage

I think the value resorts both the AllStars ( which is Movies,Music,Sports ) and Pop Century are great resorts. They have a nice food court that opens around 6:00 a.m. to Midnight. They have great pools. Pop has a couple pools I believe and Movies has a couple and Music has a couple and Sports has a couple. If you are staying at any 3 of the AllStars you can use any pool in the AllStars.

Another thing that I like about AllStars is when you want to get back to your hotel you can have 3 buses to pick from. You can get on the first bus that you see. If you are staying at Sports and get on the Movies Bus you would just walk to Sports and its like 10 min at the most or something like that. That is if you don't mind walking he he > I love to walk and I have those long legs so I can walk fast :p

I also love these value resorts because of all the childlike icons :goodvibes So if you have little child around 5,7,9 and those ages they might love those childlike icons. Also little 6 foot 3 children like myself love those childlike icons :p :blush: Also I am not the only one who has a plush animal set up by my hotel window. I have seen other people put their plush animals up by their hotel window for people to see. Seeing those plush animals is part of the Magic of Disney :goodvibes I put lots of plush animals by my window at times. I have seen people stop by my hotel window and look at my cute plush animal set up :goodvibes
