Can someone please tell me why is it called the dolphin where there isnt any dolphins around? All you see is fish. Unless there are dolphins. Im not sure never been there before. But of all the pics I see its always fish and no dolphins. Unless they are dolphins, but they dont look like dolphins. They look like fish to me. :confused3

There is a fish called the dolphin that is entirely different and separate from Flipper-the-mammal dolphin.

All I can tell you is that that is what was told to me by the driver of the Breathless when we took an Illuminations tour one night.

I'm pretty sure that's just urban legend. The bus, boat, and monorail drivers are known for spreading urban legends.

Hi there! My DH and I were standing in front of the Crystal Plaza waiting to be called in for Breakfast. Our ADR was for 8:10am so we basically had the MK to ourselves. We were traveling with another family and we all got some great shots of the castle and the park while it was relatively empty. I love this shot- it looks like we have the MK to ourselves- how fun would that be!!

That is from the CR concourse level. The sign is right above your head as you get on the escalator to the monorail loading area.

Everyone...when you go to place resort pics up on this thread can you PLEASE make sure you put down what resort it is. It will be easier for me to update the resort pics list if I know exactly what resort it is. A lot of them I do automatically know but sometimes I dont and then I have to ask and then wait for an answer. All you need to do is just put down the abbrevation like AKL for animal kingdom lodge, GF for grand floridian, CSR for corondo springs, etc. :thanks:

I'm pretty sure they throw them away. After sitting out as long as they have (parts of the displays are started way back in the summer months), I'm sure they aren't fit to eat. I can't imagine working that long on something just to watch it get thrown out! But I guess if you're a pastry chef you're used to your creations getting eaten or thrown away.

All right, all right...I'll buy the retirement sneaker theory, but since employees seem to love urban legends who knows what the deal really is. :)

Perhaps it's a trophy tree left over from the bird island that they no longer take care of. Maybe it's like how people mount antlers on their wall--maybe the tree belongs to a huge albatross(or odd type vulture) as a warning to all who pass :eek: :faint: .

The only snakers up here are the ones on the telephone wires and I'm not so sure about those either. :teeth:

I am almost positive that building was there when I was there a month after POP opened (Jan 2004). I didn't find the pics, so I can't be certain... From other convos on this board, I do not believe that they have started to build again there, but I could be wrong, I really don't know anything.

my kids had a blast..... but my horse was huge and i was very nervous.... we took a ride through the woods at WL for 45 min. and we saw some deer it was nice vicki

Since people post horses at WL, I thought you might want to see the first time ever my horse got saddles and I got on! Ok, I got bucked for the full 8 sec and I hurt like He** today but he only did that once. We had four great get ons!

Yes I was thinking the same thing about the CSR photo..Great colors, Beautiful photo! Also just starting to gain info about a stay at WL for June 2007. My DS just said to me this morning that he would like to go horseback riding someday. So they have horseback riding even for 6 yr olds? :woohoo:
