Rental at MCO - your suggestions

We would like to rent a car for just 1 - 2 days when we arrive in January.
Pick up around noon at MCO Saturday arrival.
We are EA members.
Can we rent a car from National at MCO and drop it off in WDW?
Suggestions on what we should do?
I am really just wanting the car for outlet hopping on Saturday and DH driving it to the marathon Sunday morning and back.

You sure can. You can even book on line, just make sure that you specify MCO for pickup and either the Car Care Center or Dolphin for drop off. Since it is a Sat night, if you are a DC member, I would even try using the coupon.

I would NOT try to drive to the marathon!!! WDW transportation statrs at 3:00am in order to get everyone to the start on time. (If you are are a registered runner, your entry number and materials should be arriving any day now.) Priority will be given to runners, but there should be no problem getting everyone there. In years past there have been a large number of people driving their personal cars that had a terrible time navigating through WDW before and during the marathon, as many roads are closed except to WDW transit and runners.

Plus, if he is running the half, the end point is no where near the parking for the start...
