Hi,
Our last trip was in October. Wolfgang Puck Express seriously limited what you could order as an entree (no pasta at all even though you could order pizza and the prices were the same) and limited the dessert to a cookie. Can anyone who has been in 2006 tell me if this is still true?

I was there in December and they were the same way. Rude too. They said we could only have pizza or one other thing (a salad maybe?) DH wanted the quesidillias and I wanted pasta which was cheaper but "NO!"
NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!!
He was like the soup nazi on Sienfield!!

I'm sad to hear this. I wanted to give this place a try next month, but not sure I wanted a pizza. I'll have to rethink our Downtown Disney meal.

We had more choices than just pizza but it was very very limited in late Jan 2006. I believe there were a few salads, rotisserie chicken, and the pizza. For drinks you could only have fountain drinks--no bottles including water! Kids could have milk though. For dessert you could have a cookie. The cookies were totally unlabeled and I have food allergies so they did let me have creme brulee (but it's from a mix and tastes like it). The kids liked the cookies though and they were huge. This was the only place where being on the DDP was a challenge.

I got a cheese quesidilla on the plan in june 2005. My parents got whatever they wanted. We also got a dessert and drink. I'm surprised to hear this is not the case anymore? I guess we won't be visiting there this time.

I'm surprised to hear this also. We were just discussing WPE recently & the only restriction was no ravioli or meatloaf.

We have already eaten at Earle of Sandwich. We did enjoy it, but I'm not a big sandwich fan, so I was thrilled to be able to try WPE with the DP. Are there other places for CS at DTD with the DP? If we go to EOS instead, what does the CS meal include? Sandwich, drink, & desert, or do you also get a bag of chips or something?

I've called them twice and both times was told that only the meatloaf & ravioli's are excluded as an entree.
As far as desserts, one person told me only the fruit cup was excluded but the second person told me you could ONLY get a cookie, brownie or creme brulee and not the cakes. So I'm not positive on the desserts.
But they both said they did use to have more restrictions, but they have changed recently.
So you shouldn't have any problems ordering what you want for an entree as long as you don't want the meatloaf or ravioli.

We just returned from a trip and I ate at WPE 3 times. All three times the only limitations we were advised of were no meatloaf and no ravioli.
There were only 3 dessert choices, cookie, brownie and creme brulee and we were able to choose any one. I did not see any cakes nor were there any on the menu?

We were there for Chrsitmas and really enjoyed it but were also very limited. We were able to have the pizza, salads or sandwiches and the cookie or brownie for dessert.

Just wondering if the restriction are still in force. Just pizza, sandwhiches, and brownies, cookies and salads?

Were just there on Friday! Best CS place to eat anywhere in the WDW! Absolutely no limitations on DDP! We were so pleasantly surprised by the excellence of the food :goodvibes and the smiling, happy, hopping staff :Pinkbounc , it was a great experience. This is a CS restaurant, yet I left the staff a tip, because they cleared plates, and refilled our drinks without any prompting and with a big smile!!! I would have eaten CS there every day if we had found it at the beginning of our trip instead of at the end!

We never got to the point to figure out what was available on DDP because they said (not very nicely) that the computers were down and they couldn't accept the dining plan (this was last week). They said that it was the Disney system that was down, so there wasn't anyplace that would be able to accept the dining plan until it was working. We went next door to Earl of Sandwich and they had no idea what we were talking about when we asked if they were having problems with accepting the dining plan. We were able to use our credits there with no problem.

We were there last week and they didn't mention any restrictions other than the fountain drink. I wanted a bottle of H20 but got their mango tea instead (which was quite good.)

We were there in May 2006 and our family of 4 had pasta, pizza, quesadillas, and salad. I believe the only restrictions were meatloaf and ravioli. Not sure about dessert restrictions. We had cookies and brownies (yum!). It was our favorite CS meal. I sorta remember DH saying something about the employees being rude, but we were looking for good food, not a new friend :rotfl: Try WPE, I think you'll like it!
