I know the walls change colour, but does Mickey parade around( as the sourcer) the restaurant? If so when does this happen etc.

Talking to my DD 4 and she doesnt want to sit through a long meal each night. She wants to eat when hungry and then go and explore see shows and go in club etc. Which is fne by us, its her holiday too.

I dont want her to miss out on a great meal/show so I need to try and understand what will go on and roughly when. Thanks.............

No, there aren't any characters in AP on show night. The walls change, as you mentioned, and the waitstaff changes their vests from black and white to color (right before the video presentation I believe... dessert time!)

It's still a fun show, but no characters walkin' around!

Personally, to call it a "show" is a lot. The room changes. The music follows. The screens highlight Disney movies - but not in such a way to overwhelm the meal. The CMs parade through the restaurant, but they do that every chance they get at all the restaurants!

We really enjoyed it, but our expectations were fairly low. I wouldn't go with high expectations.

Actually, they have changed the show & Sorceror Mickey does make an appearance at the end of the dinner. He walks thru the dining room fairly quickly though. Here are some shots from our 12/10/05 cruise. We were told that this was a recent addition to the AP light show.

:) Sounds like a "fun" meal. I hope we don't have AP for our first night. I would rather it be another night. I'm worried about someone not feeling well the first night on board and missing it.

No, no characters, it is just the walls changing color. Hubby and I are really not sure why everyone makes such a big deal about this, when you are enjoying a meal and your table mates you really don't see any of the walls changing color. Nothing special as far as we are concerned.

Lisa - do you know if the change applies to the Magic and Wonder? Which one were you on? Thanks.

We were on the Magic. The servers kept telling the kids that there would be a big surprise because they knew that we hadn't cruised since the previous December before Mickey came out. :)

Wow that's cool! Thanks for the pictures :sunny: I thought the "show" was anticlimactic, but I think seeing the big cheese at the end will add some fun to it :smickey:

Yes, the head cheese really added to the excitement that night. :)
