CIRQUE AVAIA is comming to Niagra Falls this summer starting soon ! Tickets are VERY reasonable and DW and I can't wait to see the show. We've never been yet ! This maybe our only chance to see a CIRQUE show. Cirque in Orlando a little pricy for us and always have decided on other forms of entertainment. This may just be what it takes to get us to the La Nube' show at Downtown Disney ! FYI :goodvibes

Hope it's better than "Delirium"!
DD still saying, "Nothing is as good as LaNouba!"
Let us know what you think about the show.

I checked out the Cirque website and I couldn't find any information on this show. Where did you buy your tickets from and when is the performance?
Thank you!

I enjoyed it but DD was kinda bored. There was a concert of sorts at the beginning which I had no idea who these people were :confused3
The stage is long and narrow which DD found difficult to follow.
She kept asking "where are the clowns?"LOL
It's a show that I am not willing to see a second time.
Whereas La Nouba, can see over and over again!

Has anyone purchased the La Nouba DVD? I saw it at Best Buy and was thinking that I might pick it up. Since I dont think I will get to see it live anytime soon.
Usually Cirque comes to Toronto through the summer and sets up its tent near the CNE. Are they not doing that this year?

Thanks for the info on Delerium- DD(5) is not going with us :guilty: but the show starts at bedtime. Hopefully it is good as DGM is coming along for her first Cirque experiernce.
We have the LaNouba DVD and we all love it. Unfortunately the show is dark for the time we are in DW:(

But I don't think Cirque Niagara is part of Cirque du Soliel. It is Casino Niagara's own circus show. That is why you couldn't find anything on the Cirque du Soliel site.
However, I'm sure you'll have a fabulous time nonetheless.

YYZGURL. I hope your not right on this.
DW and I were watching the TV when this was shown as a commercial. It sure did fool us if it is what you say it is. the web site is WWW.cirqueniagra.com and the commercial sure had us believe it was a Cirque du soliel production.
Hope this is not a gimick. :confused3

You are correct - the head office for this Cirque Niagara is in Hamilton (not Montreal like Cirque du Soleil) and they're casting right now which is something Cirque du Soleil does not do...
from FAQ:
? Artistic Director Oleg Kantemirov has over 25 years experience in the circus industry as a performer in the Moscow Circus and in Cirque du Soleil productions including Fascination, Saltimbanco and Alegria. He also runs his own circus school in Toronto.
I also found this press release from January and there is no mention of being a Cirque du Soleil production anywhere:

The name of the show coming to Niagara Falls is "Avaia" by Cirque Niagara.
The website says:
"The show will consist of stables of the world's greatest performing horses and a cast of 55 of the world's greatest cirque stars, this one of a kind show is coming to North America for the first time. "
The website is:
http://www.cirqueniagara.com/
P.S. The word "Cirque" is French for Circus. No gimmick there.

La Nouba is a fabulous show (seen it twicw), I wouldn't hesitate to see it again and although it is a bit pricey...its worth every penny !
I'm also excited to be going to see Cirque Du Soliel 's "KA" in Las Vegas. I hear its also terrific.

Unbelievable show especially for families. I saw the show this weekend and young and old alike were blown away.
I can't believe the tickets are only 35.00 CDN.
Tickets at cirqueniagara :cheer2: :cool1:
