Is this "High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride" that track thing that I've seen in some pictures that they will be completing or is this something new being built? Anyone know when this should be open? Our trip is in October.

From what I understand, the trolley will take you through 5 Suess book scenes as well as zip around overlooking the park.

Good news, soft opening will begin as soon as the AP passholder event is over. The AP event is June 16-18 from 7:00 AM until 9:00 PM. All passholders can bring guests. Your guests does have to have a ticket to get into the park though. There is no maximum number of guest you can bring.

I doubt that anything else will be open but I honestly don't know. Yes, only passholders and their guests will be able to enter. But sometimes the turnstiles do open earlier than 9:00 AM so I wouldn't be surprised if they let other guests in as early as 8:45 AM. Whether they let them ride or not, I don't know.

Well shoot we will miss the preview
We are arriving late on the 19 for a TKD tournament that starts on the 21. I was only allowing us one full day at US/IOA since this will our 3 (or is it 4) trip this yr andi t will only be DD and me.
Crazy me is even staying off site to save some $$.So I am hoping for soft openings and fairly short lines on the 20

I'll also be able to go online from the motel in Kissimmee, so I'm depending on you folks to keep me abreast of what is going on LOL. Each day we should be done at the tournament by 3-4, so I can always run over to IOA.

If anyone likes watching competitive martial arts, we'll be at Silver Spurs Arena Heritage Park Thurs-Sat. Thursday is forms, Fri-point Sparring, Sat-Olympic Sparring.

I rode the Sky Trolley several times. It is a nice fun ride. It is perfect for families with young kids or adults that love Seuss. I enjoyed it a lot. The ride is a slow smooth ride similar to TTA but with cooler things to see. Be sure to ride it more than once. You see different things depending on which of the two tracks you go on. Each track has two different stories also, so you can see and experience 4 different storylines. It is kind of a cross between Cat and the Hat and TTA. But I'm one of those kind of people that enjoy riding the TTA to relax and unwind even though I also love thrill rides. It didn't seem to last as long as TTA but it's hard to tell as I didn't time it, just rode and took in the sites. I do love the storylines and seeing the Seuss characters come to life. If you like Cat in the Hat, I think you will enjoy this ride.

Are there different lines for each track?? Or if you've already been on one do you just ask for the other when you arrive to the front of the line.

Is it a quick loading ride like TTA or do you like the line will get backed up??

Thanks!!

There isn't a seperate line for both sides but I am sure you can request the other side if you have already ridden on one side. It loaded fast today but there is no way I can tell how long the wait may be as it hasn't opened officially yet.

May as well post my opinions (about my REAL trip to Universal, lol)

Meh..... the ride was alright. It was kind of fun, but over way too quickly.

Also, the story of the Sneetches seems to be a bit lost in translation. Its all there, but seems to be a bit more of an afterthought.

The outdoor portion is fun, the view is great.

BUT.... on the teal side, the narration I heard both times was about as annoying as it gets. OMG..... it was so obnoxious. I won't ruin the annoyingness here, amking you all wait and hear it for yourself.

Its a good addition to Seuss Landing, but I wish it had a bit more of a dark ride element to it.

Man, I was in Orlando but too busy to get there this morning.

I didn't expect a lot of dark ride parts, there just isn't enough buildings to do that from what it seemed.

Does it still go through Circus McGurkus?

It wasn't an all-day soft open. The ride was closed sometime before 3:30-ish, not sure if it reopened.

They didn't even offer me a bookmark, lol. I also saw a lot of people (mainly kids) with cheap, neon-colored, star-shaped sunglasses.

I enjoyed the preview, and I loved being able to walk straight onto One Fish.....

we left for US around 2, so I didn't know they shut it down. they were handing out the sunglasses in the queue to kids who played along with the games. it was OK, I would have rather slept in and passed on the bookmark. one fish and cat were nice to as walk-ons, though.
