I found a great website with lots of walking information. Unfortunately I am technologically challenged and don't know how to post a direct link. However I will describe how I got there so you can duplicate it, and maybe someone techo savvy can add the link.

In yahoo I typed in "half marathons", not half marathon, but half marathonS. The first site on the list is the one with the cool info. Something like www.walking.about.com

That is the place that had all kinds of cool info. I especially liked the link to 10 walking mistakes, lots of stuff about technique and form. Just about everything you could possibly want to know about walking. Links to scheduled marathons, half marathons, and more. Stuff about weather conditions and nutrition. It made for very interesting reading I thought.

Check it out!

Thanks, Pat! Great website. I loved the line about how to prevent becoming a hood ornament! :rotfl:

Yep, I found this site very interesting. I liked the section about walking mistakes, and using the correct form. Who knew that there was a "wrong" way to walk?!

I finally got to spend some time on this site today! Boy, do the common mistakes describe me! I really liked the tips on how to avoid those mistakes, especially since I knew a lot of the things I was doing wrong, but not how to avoid them!
