Does anyone know if this can be used at the Mitsukoshi Department Store in Epcot? Here are the details from Marriott's rewards site:

Use your points to redeem for the Common Department Store voucher. You can redeem this voucher at more than 300 stores in Japan including Mitsukoshi, Takashimaya, Isetan, Hankyu and Daimaru.

Visit Japanese Department Stores for full review of department stores available.

I went to the "Japanese Department Stores" link, but it was all in Japanese! (duh, what did I expect?) Marriott lists in the Terms and Conditions "The Common Department Store Voucher can be exchanged for goods at participating stores in Japan," so it doesn't look promising -- but wouldn't it be great if it worked? Anyone have experience with this?

I e-mailed Marriott Rewards and this was the response:

Thank you for contacting Marriott Rewards.

This certificate will be accepted at the Mitsukoshi Department Store.
The certificate is for 5000 yen which currently converts to 42.61 US
dollars.

We are always happy to assist you at Marriott Rewards.

Although I specifically mentioned "Walt Disney World's Epcot" in my e-mail, their e-mail didn't mention the specific location, so I don't rest 100% assured. I'll write back for futher clarification because now I'm intrigued...

Hee hee. This is the longest thread I've ever talked to myself on! Anyway, I now have confirmation that the Epcot location will take this gift certificate. Still not sure whether to order one or not, but it's nice to know it's available.

I'll talk to you!

How many points to redeem for this certificate?
