I posted this on the "watch" thread...

but, as of 3;30 Chicago time, i had a nice talk with

he said nothing was pending BUT all Reservation CM's have been put on alert and the AP rates after June 3rd will be out "VERY SOON."

There is now a glimmer of hope. :cool1:

Bet the house, children, farm, car and DW or DH....the codes will be out Wed May 3rd.

Last 2 years they have been released first wednesday in May. This year will be no different.

Everyone take a break the next 4 days and get ready for next wednesday.

Question: IF Wed May 3 is exactly 45 days until we leave, can I update my ressie on THAT day or do I have to do it BEFORE day 45 ???

OH I HOPE its before my cutoff date

The confirmation sheet I have says there is a $100 penalty for cancelling 44-6 days prior to guest arrival, so if 5/3 is 45 days prior, you should be okay. If you are at all unsure, convert your package reservation to a room-only. That way, you'll have more room to cancel. You can always convert a room-only back to a package later, but once you are inside 45 days with a package, it is yours to keep.

Thank you so much for this glimmer of hope. I was really starting to get down and even though we have paid the trip off already, I was looking forward to some extra moola for ADR's if ya know what I mean!!!!!!

So there's still HOPE and I am just going to keep praying.
This is going to be the LONGEST week of my life, waiting for next Wed!!!
or Thurs, or Fri, ...

I just called CRO to attempt to modify a reservation and the system is down. The CM said to call back in an hour. Wonder if this means anything...

Sorry to bring you down stitch.,..but it means nothing. they woudl NEVER release such highly anticipated codes this late on a friday. If the system crashes...( which we all know how great the disney computers work) there is no one there to fix them for the weekend.

The codes will be released Wed May 3rd.....everyone can thank me at that point for the "heads-up". dont worry about it until then...enjoy the next couple of days.

I almost wonder that since the Halloween Party and Christmas Party tickets went on sale early (yesterday, as opposed to 5/1), that they were thinking it would ease up the phone lines for an impending code release next week. That's my line of positive thinking, and I'm sticking to it! :teeth:

Once your res is paid in full there will be a change fee...and a processing fee...total for both 60.00...so you want to price it first to make sure it's worth your changing.....

I'd not post the names of agents giving out information like that - they could definitely get in trouble if someone saw these boards.

Hopefully the rates will come out soon, though.

Do they only release one month's rates at a time or do they release a block of dates?

Question: I booked a package on April 21st for May 29th arrival. Since we were within 45 days, we payed the amount of the package at booking. Originally we were booked into AllStar Music because at the time of the booking, that was the only Value showing availability on all of the dates of our trip. (Or at least that's what we were told)

A few days later, I realized that Pop Century had availability -- and it was my first choice - I called back and they changed the package to Pop Century - but did not mention a charge for the change and no further charges appeared on my credit card.

Do I have a nasty surprise waiting for me at check-in? I hope not, because nobody mentioned anything about change fees, processing fees etc.

I have never had a change fee with an AP rate. I was there in May and stayed at the BC, half way thru decided to stay at the WL, I call the 800 number got an AP rate and got my refund on the spot from BC and drove off to WL.

I think with the BRP, there was a fee, not with the AP rates.

No....you are making a lateral move..the only time you would get hit with a change fee is if you package decreases in price, as long as it stays the same or it higher a fee is never charged unless your changing dates and it involves AIR....What I think they were talking about was a "special". If changing to a special reduces the cost of your original package there would be a change fee imposed. It is sometimes worth it anyway as the special lowers the price so much. You always want to check it first, and then do changes if your rate is lower including the fees added. Hope this helps...

I tend to think that whatever the CM's say, their jobs would not be at risk due to the fact that several Disney honchos are probably reading every single post and laughing their collective "@$$'$"" off at our expense.

Dont you think that every time a CM answers the phone its a different name ?..I do. No one has the same name for every phone call. Be realistic.

So in answer to your question....NO. !!!!!!!!!

You are totally wrong. I know this because up to a week ago I was a CM in DRC for 8 1/2 years. Yes, sometimes we may say something to try and be helpful, but yes we can really get in big time trouble. We do not use a different name on every call, and a good portion of our calls are monitored and scored. If we zero out on a phone call, we lose pay....so yes, please again do not mention names when someone helps you....

its a matter of opinion...i have mine..you have yours..and leave it at that !!

Let me ask you a question, if you , being a former CM, know about these boards and how word travels on here, why in holy heck would you give out ANY type of information that can be used on these boards ???

Wouldn't you be weary of your "honcho" bosses lurking on here ? I dont honestly think it matters one iota what is said and mentioned on these boards. Like I said, the honchos are laughing their "@$$'$" off at us right now.

Again..its my opinion. We live in the USA and we have the right to free speech. I respect your opinion...i dont agree with it as you dont agree with mine...and thats all good.

Oh, by the way, I was a rocket scientist up until a week ago !!

Were you a CM one week ago, i dont know, i dont know you. Moral of the story, anyone can say whatever they want on here ( as long as its relatively clean ) but beleiving it is another issue.

I absolutely respect your opinion. Yes I really worked for DRC up to a week ago when I retired. They are very well aware of these boards and quite frankly there were many times when the public had information that we as CM's were yet to be told about. Very frustrating to us indeed. There are inside people who are giving out information, and one by one they do eventually get caught. We have never really understood the big secrecy behind what they do but we are just little cogs in a very big wheel. Years back we did have knowledge of specials in advance. One of the reasons we do not get them now is to try and keep them under wraps. Hasn't really worked that well as you know. Another very frustrating thing is that we are not allow to proactively offer specials unless guest asks for it. That annoys us no end as we wind up spending hours modifying reservations when we could be selling. People were asking us about the "free dining" for weeks...we found out about it 2 days before it broke, so once again, yes the public knew first. Our argument has always been it makes us look like idiots. I could write a book on the things DRC does, but I won't bend your ear anymore.... :)

Once in a while AP rates haved "leaked out" the evening before...When they did, everyone started calling and some got the discount, others were told they weren't out yet. It seemed that some of the CMs knew how to get to the discount early. :confused3 Anyway, we will be calling at all times of the day to check and hopefully get a nice surprise???

Rates came available shortly before CRO closed when we were scheduling our trip for last May. I read about the availability on here, called, was on hold for 15 minutes, and got my AP rate at AKL right before closing. Sweet!

Yes, they were leaked last year for April/May/June. I called a friend who was going at the same time when I saw it on here and she was able to book the night before and I wasn't. It twas a bummer, but I did get them applied the next morning!
