Well I have been searching these boards for info on parent swapping since DH & I will be traveling with DD 2 & DS 1. I am confused though, from what I have read some attractions will give you a ticket similar to a fastpass and some you wait in line with the kids and swap at the ride (I have heard this about the case at ToT and Star Tours) :confused3
I would like to know what rides the kids would have to stay in the line with us for because, honestly, at their age, I think I would skip those rides or try to hit them when there is only a short line?
The children do not have to wait in line.
There will be a cm standing at the ride as you would enter the que. You simply ask them for a child swap pass - your children need to be there for that only. The rider gets in line and the other parent can than go hang out some where else. When the 1st rider comes off the ride the other rider goes through the fast pass line and hands over the child swap pass.
Any ride that has a height requirment has child swap.

If there is a height requirement the child is not even allowed in the line. As Elan said just tell the CM that you want to do a child swap. If the ride has no height requirement or your child meets the requirement then chickens out at the end they will let one of you stay back with the child then ride after the other parent gets off. In that case you all have to wait in line.

When the child is tall enough to ride but doesn't want to, that is when they will ask that they join you in line and you swap at the ride itself.
This happened to us at ToT, Splash and Thunder. My 6 year old is tall enough but didn't want to ride them. They measured her and said no parent swap pass and that we had to swap at the ride itself.

Thanks so much for this wonderful information. That makes me feel so much better about planning for our upcomming trip. Both my children will definately not meet any height requirements (other than DD on the Barnstormer) :rotfl:
