I am holding a reservation with AAA for a package with dining for August. IF an AP rate is released, will Disney allow me to make a new AP reservation, then cancel right away with AAA??? If not, any suggestions? I don't want to cancel AAA, then not get an AP rate.

Disney doesn't care if you have two reservations.. I think your bigger question is what is AAA going to charge you for cancelling. I would find that out know. Some AAA offices do charge for cancellation.

Thanks Carol - I did check with my AAA agent and she said they follow Disney cancellation policy and that there would be no cancellation if 45 days out or longer. :)

I would book the AP rate and then call AAA and cancel. Apparently Disney does check for duplicatre reservations, but it' s not an instant check so if you do it all within a short time period you will be fine.

I made the AAA room only ressie last night and will cancel with the AAA agent this morning. At first I was told by a CM that there was no way I could hold 2 ressies at the same time. Then I called back to ask a question about cancelling and mentioned my situationa and the new CM said, "The AAA reservations are thru a travel agent and are not on our system. I will be happy to make a new AAA room only rate and then you can cancel with your agent. Not sure which is actually correct, but she made them for me, and I was so happy that I could still get AAA rates for both CSR and BC standard views for August!!! Thanks again for your help Carol... :goodvibes

I am currently holding a reservation with a room only thru a AAA agent. If I see the AP rates are up, can I reserve another room, cancel my existing room, and switch my new reservation to my AAA agent ? I can't cut her out of the loop since she's worked so hard for me, but she's on the West Coast, and therefore 3 hours behind Disney. I won't be able to book a AP rate until 11:30 Disney time!

Samsma - I think some of that would depend on what CM you get. The first one I talked to explaine that I couldn't hold 2 ressies at once, but the second one made the new ressies for me, even after I told her I'd just talked to a CM and he said it couldn't be done. I'd call my AAA agent and explain to her your wishes and she what she says... :confused3

what kind of discounts is AAA offering for WDW vacations?
For my time frame (August 7 - 18) the discount is 15% for the resort portion only...But they vary from 10% - 20% depending on the season and resort. :)
