I saw a thread that had a website posted for info./ pics. on Cabanas @ HRH. I think it was Robvia who posted it. I've performed a search using cabana & cabanas, but can't seem to find it. :bitelip: Could someone please post the website for me? I would really appreciate it. TIA :)

It's not a web site, but threads that have links to pictures.

Click the Search button up top, do an Advanced search, put the word Cabana into the box, and then look thru the Resorts & Hotels forum. It will find 4 pages of threads. A few of them have links to pictures.

I havent seen a layout like a map of the cabanas but that doesnt mean there isnt one out there. This site has some nice cabana and pool pictures of HRH. Scroll down to the middle of page. http://www.yourmagicaljourneys.com/Universal/Hard%20Rock.htm

A few more are here http://www.orlandorocks.com/info.asp?location=Universal&attraction=hardhotel&type=lodging

You can see a map of HRH here and it also has the cabanas in yellow around the pool.

I did that already. As I mentioned earlier, I used the term's "cabana" & "cabanas". I read the threads for both searches, which were often a repeat of what I'd already read, but still couldn't find what I was looking for. :bitelip: It appears that could be, because I imagined it in the first place. :p I finally just gave up & came here to ask. :badpc: Thanks for the links. :)

I checked your links, but still didn't find what I'm looking for. We've rented a cabana at HRH before, but I don't remember which cabanas are located where. We ended up having to walk over people in their lounge chairs every time we left the cabana. I'd like to rent one that's a little out of the way, where we can sit inside or lay outside w/o having people on top of us. Are there any like that? I'm hoping to find something that shows me the location & name/ number of each cabana. I'm off to search again. :teeth:

I can't remember which themed one it was called, but the one I had rented was the furthest from the Hotel. It also give you a perfect view for the Movie on Friday Night! Not too much traffic. If I ever get around to downloading my pics, I'll post.

That would be great! :woohoo: The way our dates are set now, we won't be there on Fri. night. :guilty: I would like to have one out of the major traffic areas though. :thumbsup2

Thanks again for the links. :) I read through them, then called to see what they had available. The guy said he had lots available. He asked what our preferred area would be, & I told him we wanted to be out of the way of most of the foot traffic. We had cabana #2 before, & were constantly having to fight to use our lounge chairs. Plus, we had to practically walk on some people to leave the cabana. I thought this was because it was in a busy, popular spot, but he said it's also away from most of the foot traffic. I suppose we could have just been unlucky enough to be surrounded by a few rude people. :sad2: My 1st thought was to reserve the Stevie Wonder cabana because I thought our DS would like the decorations. He said we probably wouldn't like that location though. On his suggestion, I went with #6. Was that a good choice for us?

On a side note, if this experience was anything like what we can expect from the other employees of HRH, we're going to have a fabulous stay. :rockband:

I've been reading more cabana info. Is cabana #6 not themed? From the posts I've read, it looks like #7 is the Yellow Sub., & #6 isn't themed. The rate I was quoted was $125. I thought that was the rate for the themed cabanas. Now, I'm ever more confused. The search function won't allow me to search for #6 by itself. :guilty:

Okay, I chickened out! :p I kept reading threads, but didn't see anyone mentioning cabana #6. A lot of people said #10 was best, so I called & changed to it while it was still available. I did find out that regular cabanas are $125 & themed ones are now $150. I don't remember anyone quoting a price that high on here. Hope I made a good decision.

P.S. Sorry, for so many posts on my own thread.

Last July we had cabana #'s 7 (yellow submarine) and #8. They are right behind the baby pool. We loved the location.

We did leave for awhile and came back to find a family watching our TV. But that was the only time we encountered any problems.

Since the cabanas were behind the baby pool, it was very quiet. And the bonus was that you just walked between the two cabanas and you were on the path right by the gate to go to Universal. The kids loved running between the parks and the pool.

I think the 4 over there -7,8,9,10 have the best locations. But that was just our preference.

Thanks for the info. :) Do you think we'll be happy with #10, even though it's in a high traffic area?

Thanks :) The wait was worth it! :teeth: Where is cabana #10 located in your top pic? Also, do you think we'll like it better than #6? I'm not sure if #7 was available or not. Is that one better than #10? Sorry, for all the questions.

Since I can't remember which # the Cabana is, the very last Cabana, furthest from everything is the one I rented. The main pathway is right in front of the Cabana and wasn't that busy, at least at night. I booked it so far in advance that I can't find my notes. They were suppose to redecorate all the Cabana's to Themed, but that didn't happen.

Hope you find out.

I loved the location due to the fact that you could see the movie without any obstructions.

If pic. #2 shows the cabana you rented, I'm pretty sure it's the same one we've rented. It's #10, the Stevie Wonder Cabana. We won't be there on the weekend, so no movie for us. :guilty: I'm hoping the cabana I rented is still a good choice for lounging during the day. :sunny:
