Wow, don't they hold a lot on you !

I ordered one last week which arrived yesterday.

Quite amazing the volume of data they hold on you, but its really useful to check that nothing iffy is going on regarding people you are linked to at previous address's.

I had 7 credit cards on the go at the end of last year, so wanted to check they had all been properly closed down by the respective companies (which they seem to have been).

DH shared a house with an bloke at Uni who had every credit card going (30 or so?!) He misunderstood the question asking if he 'lived' with anyone on one of his apps and named DH.

Luckily he was a bit confused when a later credit report had DH's details on as well and mentioned it to him. Would have been great fun to unravel years later if DH hadn't found out especially as the other bloke went back to Asia after Uni.

Sounds like a good plan to check everythings OK - glad there were no surprises on yours :thumbsup2

I get an email from them if a company does a credit search or something else "out of the norm" happens on my accounts. Its reassuring to know that should anyone try to take my identity and apply for cards or loans that I'll be notified about it.

It's frightening the amount of imformation that is held about us.

30 ! That puts even me to shame.....of course being at Uni, that would actualy mean he had debts on them :-(

I bet he didnt get much of a credit limit on them, I found that the more I applied for the less they offered me. The last one I got they only offered me £2500.

Frightening how much I got offered in total though. The "special exercise" I was doing at the time meant that I moved over a quarter of a million pounds around over a 3 month period, which is dangerous and crazy for someone on a £20k salary. No wonder some people get in a mess.
