We just received our DD's LOA, and I wondered if any other DVC brides out there had any concerns with the wording? They really get stuck on that room block. I wish it specifically mentioned the use of DVC points for reservation and payment for resort accomodations. Also, in the event of cancellation how do they determine the penalty, if you have a DVC reservation which basically covers the minimum? I sent her SM an email, but I wonder if Disney ever changes the wording in their contracts.

I don't know what an LOA is...I'm trying to guess, but I'm guessing it is your agreement? In any event, your DVC reservation counts...you just send the reservation number to the wedding planner and they attach it to your wedding block and then it counts towards your minimum. If you want that specifically in there, I'm sure they will include it, but we had no problem and more than half our rooms were DVC.

I, too, had no problem with DVC rooms and my custom FTW contract. I sent a list of my reservations to the FTW folks and they took it from there.

Since I had booked five DVC rooms for varying lengths of stay via my DVC membership (the rooms were gifts for my family), and since I also had a couple of cash reservations in my name (for example, two nights at the All-Star Sports for myself, three nights at the Grand Floridian for my immediate family, etc), I had no problem meeting my room block requirement. I did pass along my guests' reservation information, but I was told that it wasn't really necessary as I had met the room block requirements with my DVC reservations.

Definitely discuss your concerns with your DD's Sales or Event Manager, but I bet you’re not going to have an issue with the DVC rooms. Please keep us posted.
