View Full Version : Who wants a first timer RnR Coaster meet on 11/30?

Since this came up in an itenary but never really became official, I was wondering who would be interested. Those who want to ride for their first time or the 1,000th time can meet by the information board at Disney-MGM around 9:00. By that time, the CMs should let us walk back to the RnRC.
The first timers cannot chicken out once they enter the standby line. If so, lunch is on them! :)
Who is interested? If we get a good crowd, perhaps we can have Patinmn add it to the master list.

Actually, there is an AK lunch meet later in the day. Hmm...should we make the people who chicken out pay for everyone? :)
What's the most expensive place to eat at WDW? It's definitely not the turkey leg stand! :)

So, if I'm late, say 9:30ish, you guys will be finished and I won't have to ride IT, right?

Oh, we'll be there after 9:30..... ;)
Probably the most expensive place is Victoria & Albert's. But I can't go there. I don't own a tie or a suit jacket....or a suit, for that matter.

As much as I love to raise my hand for anything and everything new and exciting around here.......I just can't do it for this one. :( Sorry. :( No way...No how! Period. :)

Oh, we'll be there after 9:30. I plan on getting 3-4 rides that morning. Then I will head to AK for the lunch meet.

No, because I am going to be there all day! :)
YeeeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaaaaw! Count me in! I'm not a newbie, just love the ride! :) I love watching people try this for the first time, they're always so nervous before the ride. Then watch as they get off-they love it and want to go back for more! :D :D

Okay, just how 'rough' is this ride? (have slight neck probelm, can do most rides, really really jarring rides not good!) So all you veterans, how is it?

It depends on where you sit. The back is pretty rough. The back seat is the seat of pain! The front row is the smoothest.
Jody, I have a lower back problem and this ride doesn't bother me at all. The only ride that has ever given me a little problem is Space Mountain, and that isn't all the time, either.

Hmm. I may just have to do this. I like Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, and Splash Mountain. The Tower of Terror is great too! I think I might just have to try this! (I'll bring the muscle relaxers, just in case!)

Not the front, please not the front, and no "seat of pain" either!!
Pumbaa_, muscle relaxants? I didn't know you could bring those kinds of flasks into the park! ;)
Lunch is going to cost me a bundle............*sigh*

Maybe I'll just bring my doggie's valium for you!! (LOL, it really helps him in the thunderstorms!)
I plan on following Barb, she'll point us in the right direction. I am staying away from Barry and his seat of pain! (Nice Barry, scare the newbies!)

I think you're right about taking Barb's advice Pumbaa_, I mean who can trust a man who wears no pants? No wonder he speaks of the seat of pain, I would too if I had burned my buns!

Him, ROFL! :jester: Too funny Kim. So, where is lunch going to be?

I have to agree with Barry on this one. You don't want to ride in the back of the limo. It's a completely different experience than in the middle or front...and one that isn't all that pleasant, especially for old timers like me....

Actually, I saw a Certified Coaster Chicken shirt at Universal this weekend. I thought that would be a good prize for those who chicken out. :)

But is the chicken wearing pants? If not, it just won't work for us! :p
ROTFL! You guys are too funny! All I keep picturing is this guy riding all the rides without his pants! I will tell you that I can't usually do the "turn you upside down till you throw up rides". Makes me green around the gills, for sure! (I keep trying, but so far I can't handle it.) But, I can do RnR without any problem. For those of you that do try it for the first time, you will be amazed. It's over so fast, you will hardly believe you were on the ride. Really! I, personally, LOVE that first "rush". You are held tightly in your seat by shoulder harnesses. Each "section" is 2 seats of 2. The music is loud and the more I ride it, the more I pay attention to the music! I think the first time, I couldn't even tell you WHO was singing!!!!! This last time, I was actually singing along as I screamed!! (I do scream-it's more fun that way) We will have a great time-it's so much more fun to go with a group! We can always ask for the middle seats, too.

Has anyone heard if this is going to be added or not? It sounds like fun.

Personally, I don't think it's going to happen, so you might want to take it off your iteneraries. :(

Why not Barry? I was looking forward to spying on all of you from behind the nearest topiaries. ;)

Well, is this a Go or a No Go?
I really want to try and do this. Who was it that was looking for courage? The cowardly lion? Well, I'm a Leo but I don't want to be a coward!
Barry, what size is that Coaster Chicken T-shirt? ;)
