I had to dig up this thread to say Yay Me! I got a tent room yesterday! I actually was up and could play when VMK opened, and I got a score of 48K, which was good enough at this time for Top 10 (although I never actually saw my score in the Top 10. But as long as I get the room, I'll take it!) :cheer2: Then I went over to fireworks, and the scores were already over 240K. I can only get around 212K, max, so I had to just stick with my tent room. Not sure if fireworks is going to happen before my trip.

And I've finally gotten to Level 3 in Pirates, which is good for me because I'm SO BAD at Pirates. :rotfl:

Yay! I played fireworks yesterday morning and managed to get onto the top ten list with a score of around 257,000 (my highest score so far is 267,000)!! I'll post pic when I can. Right now it's on another computer that is currently mad at this computer -- it isn't sharing it's files at this time GR). But I quickly got bumped off the top ten list lol. I don't care, because it gave me a PDF for a pink Nemo chair! Yay!

EDIT: Mad caught a screen shot of the top scores just a few posts below -- I'm on it twice with one score of 262,085 ;). Woot!

Well, it was a good day for me in VMK!

Firstly, this happens:

Couldnt believe it, it was one of those games where everything just went right, mostly flawless and hit about half or so of the fireworks on the last frenetic stage at the end. My best ever score, first on the table and ahead of navimap. WOOT!!

(ok , it was less than 2 hours after opening, and it wouldnt last long, but hey!)

Then just as Hula's ballgame was about to open, I started searching like mad for it, and there it was...quick click, and was 30th in queue! Despite the attempts of fireworks trying to pull me away, I managed to control myself and wait, and finally got in.

I got up to bat...and hit a home run!!! :cool1:

So thanks to Hula for a great game and my predictometer!

After you get it the first time, you get one every 10 times you get over 240k and not winning. You can also get one after coming in first place 10 times.

I was not only FINALLY able to enter a HOST game (which has never been done by me, ever! lol) but I also got the totally awesome pirate pin!!

I went in and stood on my little pile of sand. The first round started and I was amazed I was able to make it to the next round. The, at the third round, I moved...but I was the only one who moved. Next thing I notice is that the ENTIRE room cleared excpet for the wonderful and myself. I couldn't believe it! My next thought was...I don't think I can make it starting over again...I got nervous that I too was able to dc.

Then, the Host told me I won that game so I wouldn't have to start over and traded me the pin!! I was and still am VERY grateful that she would trade me the pin despite an unfinished game. Just as I typed in a longer version of "thank you", lol, I got dc! I don't even think she got my word.

I am very pleased with the fact I made it into a game, got a pirate pin, and with the kindness of the wonderful HOST of tonight's event!!!

well, this happened, idk, 4 weeks ago or something. BUT, it's a really good "YAY ME!" bc it was close to the end of water park week, and i was playing aqua fire. Also i want to officially yay for my friend although she made this trade a long tiem ago, it was THE BEST TRADE EVER and i'm not just saying that, believe me, its awesome!! My friend met this guest in the fireworks lobby who had four stitch hats, my friend got all four from the guest ( who didn't know they were rare ) for a full pink princess dress including a crown, a sorcerer hat, gold mickey ears, and black mickey ears!! Yes, you heard me correctly! my friend is immensly rich now on vmk as you can imagine and her and her two brothers now all have stitch hats. I feel a little badly for the guest but my friend is very nice and she gave two of the hats to her brothers. she is a great friend and deserves such a wonderful trade just randomly awarded! :cloud9:

Actually I would tell her because in a way it is conning the guest out of not one, or two but 4 stitch hats. I'm glad your friend is friends with the guest and I just hope when the guest finds out how rare these hats are she wont try and contact staff some way about it. It's not so much important about how your friends brothers wanted them too, or if your friend is lucky but how the guest was "cheated" out of them.

I, surprisingly, was able to score over 75,000 in fireworks (4th level) without the use of a mouse...I had a pad instead!

I had to put my left hand over my right hand and had to double click every firework! I was amazed to get flawless and awesomes! of course...there were MANY that I missed and certainly more goods and ok's than anything else! :rotfl: But hey...I was able to finish the tron quest! lol.

I started the day at 57k credits and wanted to get over 100k, but the Fireworks-athon left my hand sore. lol Ah... the price we pay for virtual stuff. :rolleyes: I never played that many games in a day before. My record prior to that was 15 and it was further spaced throughout. So I only made it to 90k. I need to do some conditioning. HA! :crazy:

Well that was rude! I got disconnected while waiting to return to the lobby. Granted it was after closing. I was in probably thee very last game of fireworks tonight. We still had 10 seconds before launch when the 10 minute warning came up. Surprisingly enough, the game started.

and of course I'd get the "VMK is closed" warning right at the 2nd to last bunch of fireworks in stage 5, level 3!! yeah that screwed me up leaving me with a score of 267K.

I'm still getting only into the mid 270K range..even when I have good rounds leading up to it. I think my best at the end of round 4 was 210K. gotta figure out that lump of 2 different fireworks and how to score better there.

..either that or listen to better music on my mp3 player. :rotfl2:

But seriously Days, do you have any tips for those of us approaching 2000 hours in our car quest? I have heard tips from several green car-quest winners but you never know when somebody has extra advice for you that you haven't heard before :) ~C.B. p.s. Sorry for taking tis thread a little off-topic, he he :teeth:

Here's for keeping the thread on topic --- Yay!! Well, hmm...aside from all the other tips I have given, I think slowing up really does make a difference in making sure you hit flawless more often. Another thing I do, is since I know the order of the fireworks pretty much, I immediately switch to the next image just as soon as I have clicked another. I also take every opportunity to click 2 fireworks together so I can get both flawless, instead of one awesome and one flawless. If I see during a round that 2 are going to be close together, I click a third one first, then run over to click those when they turn to stars. Takes a bit of practice (which is why I am not always consistent), but it helps bring up my score. :) I also wear an ace bandage around my wrist -- it keeps my hand from sticking to my mouse, so I can easily click from one side of the screen to the other (it also keep wrist pain away). Oh, one more thing...if you think you have missed one of the fireworks, click there anyway. Sometimes it explodes. :) And I have found that if my click is not exactly on target, I can drag my pointer over to the fireworks before my finger has let up on the left mouse button, and it usually explodes.

Awww...been there, still do that LOL. But I'll tell you one thing. I almost never quit a game until after I reached 280,000 -- because even if it wasn't a great game, it was still a chance for practice. But you know...now that I have gotten such high scores...I always try for the best score. BUT..if I'm in a game with no one I know and I am doing anything less than 280,000, I will probably stop at 240,000. And...if I'm in a game with great players and I start off poorly, I may just quit -- depends on the moment. Sometimes I feel a bit strange making a lower score. :confused3 Sometimes I'll get a top score and the next will be lower. So, I might either quit or keep going and stop early. I always look at my score to see how I'm doing. But if you want to stay in the game and the score is what's making you quit often...stick a piece of masking tape on your monitor. I've heard of other players concentrating too hard on the fireworks that they have no time to look at scores. Maybe this will help you too. :goodvibes

Yesterday brought more end level high scores for me! End level 4/3: 219,747; End level 5/1: 241,589; and End level 5/2: 261,924. I also tried to get on top ten as many times as I can. Silly, but I had fun trying. Managed to get there 7 times! lol

After only playing VMK for two weeks, I topped 200,000 in fireworks on Saturday morning! Got Maleficent's room, 750 credits and the gold fireworks pin. Now, if I can just get that elusive fireworks magic pin....

How many points do you need to get the pin? It will probably change with the new fireworks game.

I got 2nd place in the new Fireworks game on my second time playing :goodvibes lol. (5th on the my first lol).

I still don't like this new fireworks much. I find myself in the last 2 levels, yelling, "Ahhhhh!" and just sitting there watching the fireworks fizzle out before my eyes. There are just too many for my eyes to follow and confusion easily sets in lol. :rotfl2: But I haven't played in over a day (I have visited the lobby though :rotfl: ), and thought I would give the game a try knowing now that you shouldn't be hitting anything but flawless. So I increased my score by 1,000 and got this, which is so far my highest score after playing a few games tonight. I need just 2 more games for another gold pin.:goodvibes

Heh, I'd like to know how they're getting scores over 7,000.:rotfl: Actually, I know how they're doing it -- by not sitting in the last couple of stages yelling, "Ahhhhhhhhh!!!" and letting the fireworks go by. I've just been hitting as many flawless as I can, while trying not to hit any awesome, ok or oops. :)
