I finally found a little better rate, by trying multiple dates. :woohoo: I can't remember which view we had the last time we stayed there. It was a deluxe room, but I don't remember if they have deluxe rooms with both views. Anyway, is the pool view worth the extra money? It's not that much more. I want to book, before the discount disappears. :hyper:

We ended up booking a Garden View room. DH said he remembers the Pool View rooms being more noisy. I honestly don't remember. Did we make a good choice?

I also prefer the garden view. It doesn't really matter. The rooms don't have balconies and I know I don't spend time standing in front of the window looking outside.

I've done both pool & garden view, but both on the first floor. We actually paid a little more for a pool view and all we saw was the base of a bird of paradise tree in front of our tiny window! If we knelt down on the floor and turned our heads sideways a little, we could see a little bit of the pool.
I don't think it makes an ounce of difference. Go for the best rate and plan on enjoying the way cool atmosphere of the resort itself :)
Hope you have a rockin' good time!!!

Thanks all, :)
Maybe I don't remember the Pool View DH says we had, because we couldn't see the pool. :scratchin That makes sense. ;) I definitely remember the view from PBH, & we stayed there 1st. If we could have talked our DS into staying there, I would have gotten a Bay View again. :cloud9: We also had an incredible view at RPR, but we didn't like that resort as well.
I'm one of those strange people who runs straight for the window to check the view. If we're not looking at an empty parking lot or garbage dumpsters, I'll be happy. :teeth: DS(14) can't wait to just be at the resort again. I'm a bit suspicious that staying at HRH was the reason he wanted to completely change vacation destinations at the last minute. :bitelip: He loves checking out the memorabilia, & the pool is a definite plus. :rockband: I can't wait to do more research to see how much/ little the resort has changed. We stayed there 3 yrs. ago. I'm off to continue planning our trip. :moped: Can you tell I'm excited. :hyper2: Thanks again :sunny:

I booked Pool View.. I really hate looking at a big tree or an empty courtyard. This is my first time staying there so I have no idea about the views. Is there a good standard room view? I would love a view of Universal and Citywalk..

This was our first visit to HRH and we had a garden view. We were a little disappointed since our actual view was overlooking a roof with many A/C units and the back parking lot. I called when we arrived to ask if this was the correct view and was told it was indeed a garden view. I would definitely go for the best rate.

So, you would book the GV rate for $20 less, knowing you could get this view again? Sorry if that's a dumb question, but this view is what I'd like to avoid. I just wish I knew if any of the PV rooms had a view this bad. :confused3

If the PV is only 20.00 more, I'd probably ask for a pool view. There are probably some great garden views, we just were not lucky. I think we were just a little surprised that the hotel didn't offer to change our room since occupancy seemed low.

I always book a pool view room and reqest upper floor. We don't do club, so 6th floor is as high as it gets. This is high enough not to have the view obstructed by foliage or be bothered by noise from those enjoying the pool. We always request room 6090. It is a pool view queen, but not a deluxe.
