Hi all . I posted a thread in the community board about my struggle with weight loss , and I was refered to here at WISH.

Long short of it is I NEED to loose some weight .. Not vanity pound mind you, I NEED to loose like 100 llbs.... :faint:

My dh also needs to loose some weight , and we have decided that after our upcomming trip to WDW will will seriously commit to losing all this weight.

Infact my dh promissed us (to my surprise :teeth: ) that if we reached our own personal goals by this time next year, we can reward ourselves and plan a summer trip to WDW ! :woohoo: (2007 was supposed to be our 'time off from WDW" year)

If we don't reach our goals then we aren't going.

We're not looking to be skeletons or super models, we just want to be able to fit into smaller clothes sizes. My dh wants to fit into a size 46, and I want to at least get out of the 20's! :rolleyes1

:wave2: You're in the right place! Disney lovers who want to be healthier unite here on WISH! The monthly challenges are a great place to start since you set your own small goal, and try to live up to it. This kinda forces you to work along slowly in Mini ::MinnieMo Goals that will get you to a healthy place fast! It helps your motivation too to be able to say that you lost _ out of 10lbs, instead of _ out of 100 (just meet those Mini ::MinnieMo Goals 10 times and your done!!!)! Of course after a few mini goals are met _ out of 100 will look really nice!! :) Good luck and keep us updated on your progress!!

:welcome: jekajekalynn! how very nice of the CB folks to share you with us! i'm excited for you what a FABULOUS reward!!! but, like kelly so wisely said, step by step and you'll get there. starting now is so smart, it will allow for you to move at a pace comfortable for you, in terms of replacing old habit with new healthier ones. so often i find myself like eek! i HAVE to lose this weight in xxx weeks and then i can't handle my self-induce pressure and cave. unfortunately i have let some goals come and go in this fashion -- now i'm focusing on the day to day

follow the link in my siggie to grab your official WISH clipart and you'll be surprised how FUN it is to change as your weight goes down. i'm 3 lbs off from changing mine again and it's been a very long time -- i'm pumped and ready for it! we can do this together!
