Hi! I really would love to have a Disney wedding and have just started considering it over the past couple of days. After looking at everyone's pictures/videos I know I want the same thing!! My DH2B and I have been engaged for over a year now and I have done NOTHING to plan any kind of wedding. The idea of a traditional wedding doesn't excite me at all and I know that is why I have procrastinated.

Since I don't know too much about Disney weddings I was considering an eBook I found at (won't let me post the site since this is my first post). Has anyone gotten this...is it worth the $20? I am wanting to find out things such as prices for all the different options to see if it is even possible (have to convince Dad).

Thanks,

Kandis

Kandis-
I asked the same question, as I have just begun as well!! :)

It seems the consensus here is the book is not really up to date, and you can find out great info from this site as well as a few others...

I have decided to forgo the ebook....at least for planning purposes..

I bought the book! even though you can get most of the same information here, it has coupons for different vendors. I am not sure if those have changed or whatnot. It is actually great to have all of the information in one place.

To be honest, I thought about buying that book too...and didn't.

I think between Disneys website (www.disneyweddings.com) and talking to your EM/SM and this place :teeth: ...I'm not sure you need the book to plan a Disney wedding.

As far as the pricing info goes...unless they update that book at least yearly the prices for Disney stuff is going to be "off". Disney has consistently raised their prices over the past two years, and has changed the packages and what is/isn't included, etc.

Good luck! :thumbsup2

I purchased it before finding the disboards and as all the above posts say, all the information is about three years old. It has a lot of good suggestions and info in it, but most of it can be gathered from here or the dinsneyweddings website.

The Intimate section is particularly out of date since A LOT of the offerings have changed since 2003. I actually got confused about a lot of the details for an Intimate in part because of the ebook.

happy planning!

I think you can do just as good without the book. I bought it but I too did find alot of outdated information. Disboards & a few other sites have helped us alot in planning.

Heya,

The e-book is rather out of date, though it does have some good ideas scattered throughout. My fiance bought it because he was curious more than anything, but after reading it I really don't think it's necessary for planning a WDW wedding. Your Disney coordinator, once you're assigned one, should be able to answer all the questions you have. Good luck planning your wedding!
