Hi there, I am new to this board.
We (DH & DS-2) are planning on going to WDW in September 2006. Seeking some advice on the best time to go. Planning to stay 7 nights.
Options are pretty much any week in September. We can arrive on any day and leave on any day. So I have the following questions:
1. What is the best day of the week to arrive?
2. Which is the best week in September to go? Was thinking last week of Sept?
3. Beach Club Resort or Studio in the Beach Club Villas?
Will be travelling with a 2 yo and thats why we have chosen the Beach Club resort as we can always put him in the stroller and go walking along the Boardwalk. Also if he is napping in the room, one of us can go to EPCOT or even just to the Boardwalk area.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers
Angela

WELCOME TO THE DIS!!!
1. What is the best day of the week to arrive?
Sunday IMHO
2. Which is the best week in September to go? Was thinking last week of Sept?
Last week F&W time.
3. Beach Club Resort or Studio in the Beach Club Villas?
Either BCR you will get the free dining. If you are renting points at the villas no free dining, If you are paying rack rates you can get the dining there.
Good luck and have a great vacation.

We're (my mom, myself, DD6) are going mid Sept. this year. Arriving on 11th, leaving 16th. We were there last Sept. 15th-24th (on property 17th-24th) and Sept. 2004, I think, 10th-18th. We love being there in September. It's still warm enough to take advantage of the pools and water parks, and after Labor Day the crowds diminish. Of course, it's always risky to book during hurricane season but we've been lucky so far. In 2004 we arrived 2 days after Frances, and left Orlando the day Ivan hit the Pan Handle. :sunny: Luckily Ivan missed WDW. We were already prepared to stay another day or so if needed.
I think, all things considered (cost, crowds, weather, etc.) that September is our fav. time. :goodvibes

We are traveling with a 1year old and a 2 year old and we will be going the week of Labor Day. We chose this time b/c when we have been before during this time there were no crowds and no lines. :thumbsup2

I have been in September twice and both times have been the last week of the month. It was very nice weather and the crowds were quite low. I would suggest going the last week due these good factors.
Also, we usually try to plan it so we get there on a Sat and have our first whole day on a Sunday. Seems to work well for us, but I think any day of the week is going to be good for you in Sept.
Enjoy your trip and welcome to the DIS boards! :sunny:

We'll be staying from Sept 4-10, first time in WDW in September. Going then because of the free dining. I'm sure we'll see a little higher attendance this month because of the free dining, but I chose the first week thinking that most parents will NOT be pulling kids out of school at the very beginning of the school year.

We arrived on a Wednesday and got checked in to AKL very quickly only one other person in line... It was a different story on Saturday and Sunday Morning the check in line was LONG. So I would recommend arriving during the weekday. Have fun!
