Or Southern Californians too for that matter. I'm pretty new here so wanted to see how many others are here from my area, and if there is ever a get together or anything for all us gals...and guys too.
I'm about an hour from San Fran, up in the Delta area. We were down in the Bay Area but just moved about 18 months ago. :cheer2: :cheer2:

You must have lived or visited this area. Good stuff. We go "over the hill" a few times a year. Last spring my brother got married in Los Gatos and we were back and forth for bridal showers & wedding. We love to go to the outlet malls and sometimes we stay in Vacaville, which is where we learned of Merchant and Main where we had a really nice dinner.
We are headed over Memorial Day Weekend. We love the 4-Point Sheraton in Dublin, we stay there and will take BART into the City for 2 days then a day in Vacaville for shopping!

Davis, CA... transplanted from San Francisco (which will always be home to me... and hopefully will be again someday.)
Although I'm in NJ now, I grew up 30 minutes north of San Francisco, in Novato. I really miss it, and hope to get back there some day!

Oh my gosh!!!! I lived in Novato for 12 years. Before that I was in Corte Madera and before that I was born and spent 25 years in San Francisco. I'm up in the foothills outside Sacramento now - the Placerville area but I miss my Novato so very much.
crazi4dlr, I just sent you a PM. How cool to 'meet' another former Novato resident! :)

Hello all
Woodlander here, very near Sacramento
Eventhough I have lived in this area all my life up until a couple years ago. I had been to WDW more time than DL in SoCal hard to believe because it is only 415 miles away and WDW is almost 3K miles away. I love them both. Have to venture out of the county next.
Have a magical day. DisBoard Group.

Looks like you will be heading to WDW at the end of the month. I'm going to a conference in the LA area at the end of the month and staying a couple days extra to go to DL.
My daughter and I are debating on if we are going to do DCL this next Feb 2007.... Price is very high comparied to other cruise line, more than double, but we do love DCL
Anyways have a magical time at WDW and the Animal Kingdom Lodge

Hello, nice to see another fellow Woodlander. I noted that you have enjoyed DXL in the past. To bad they change the name of it now, will still be DXL to us. I too enjoy that hotel and have stayed in only MagBend as well 6 times in the past 15 years, have tried others but keep coming back to DXL. Most beautiful in the month of Feb. I bought into DVC this past year, so now we are trying out SSR, it is very nice also, but so new the landscaping hasn't completely grown in.
If you every get the chance to take DCL trip it is a wonderful experience as well.
Happy Halloween all disney fans

Hi all! I'm a fairly recent transplant to CA. I grew up in MN, went to school/got a job in WI, then met DH online and moved to San Jose after we were married. DH grew up in Cupertino, did undergrad at Santa Clara, grad at San Jose State, and has lived in downtown San Jose ever since. There's no moving him from the South Bay! Good thing I was willing to relocate to CA - I don't think he'd have done well in the Midwest! :rotfl:
My family started with a DL trip in '79, but then we started going to WDW and that became the tradition. I'm planning my first trip back to DLR for the spring, and hoping to get an AP. We have friends who make regular trips down, and they say I could tag along whenever they go. (DH doesn't like Disneyland - too many people and too many lines for him to have any fun, he says.)

I live 180 miles north of Sacramento. I try to make the almost 600 mile trek to DL at least 3 times a year. (Sometimes more)
This year however we decided to save up for a 10 day trip to WDW. We leave in 16 days! Yahoo!!
FWIW, I'm a transplant to CA. I lived in NJ for 34 years & decided it's time to go west!
My favorite motto: New Jersey, a great place to come from. :D
