Hi there..we will be staying for 3 days at Hard Rock prior to our cruise leaving on Sat. 7/29. We will be meeting our extended family that Friday night at Downtown Disney for shopping/Disney Quest.
Looking for a good restaurant for family of 11 (6 adults, 5 children ages 11-6) either at Downtown Disney or on the way....we are not fans of Rainforest Cafe....
Thanks....
What is the best way to go from HRH to Downtown Disney area?

CiCi's pizza is near DTD hotels
It's buffet style with pizza, pasta, salad and dessert. Very inexpensive, fast and easy to get to DTD. Kids will love it.
We go there the first night every trip before going to DTD
Take Hwy 4 about 5-6 miles from USF to the DTD exit

Consider Jungle Jim's, in Crossroads, across from Hotel Plaza Blvd. Kids will love it.

turn right as you exit the HRH. you'll the signs for I-4 West. you'll turn right at the lights at RPR. you'll want to get into the left lane when you can, the road that merges into I-4 has a left turn lane. you'll see the signs.
meeting at one of the restaurants in the crossroads is probably the easiest way. like Jason said, Jungle Jim's is fun for the kids, we've had good and bad experiences there. there's also quite a few chain restaurants there - Fridays, red lobster, pizzeria uno, buffalo wild wings, chevy's. I'm sure there's a few more, can't remember. plus, you're right across from WDW east gate and a few minutes from DTD.

I would recommend Jungle Jim's, too. The food is good (not particularly distinctive, but good and good sized portions) and the decor is just plain fun. It stands out in a town where everthing has some kind of theme.
