Booking your trip: TA or Disney??

I don't really know where to post this, but since we're a family of 5 I thought it probably made sense to poll other families!

We are about to book our first package - this Free Dining bit is too good to pass up! I'm just wondering for those of you who have done Disney with a package, have you used Disney directly, or a travel agent and if so, which one? I'm not looking for the most deep-discount deal as I am using someone reputable. Any opinions on Dreams Unlimited?

We booked through AAA. The price was the same as booking directly with Disney, except they included travel insurance with their total. Also, we are staying at the POP and a refridgerator is included as well with our package.

I did all the research myself thru the Disney website, and the Disboards, and a couple of other websites. Then I called my ta and told her exactly what I wanted, and she booked it for us. I'm sure it would be fine if you went directly thru Disney though. It was the same price as booking directly, and if I remember right the Disney trip insurance was cheaper thru Disney rather than with my ta's company.
And thanks to the Disboards I found out about the free dining last year around, my ta didn't know about it!! We saved so much that we upgraded to CBR. :thumbsup2 So it pays to do your research!!!!

We booked right on the Disney web site and have been very happy. Knew exactly what we wanted from my research on the DIS, so didn't really feel the need to use a TA.

We book right through Disney. We check the website and then call Disney to book. I like to talk to the person directly. After all the research, it is the same. Just check the boards and know what you want. You can print out from the Disney site and then call if you like to talk to a person like me. Good luck. :sunny:
