Is anyone watching this show?

Stewart (http://www.bbc.co.uk/strictlydancefever/dancefever/news/2006/04/07/31070.shtml), one of the finalists, is from the same Salsa club as DD at Cardiff University :cool1:

I watched the last bit of the auditions last week and realised they were being held in the dance college I used to go to (except I went there before it moved into it's 'new' home, so I didn't go there, really - if you see what I mean :crazy: ). So I was going to be hooked anyway, then DD found out that Stewart had got through and I know we're going to have to watch it every week now! I'm pleased to say Stewart and Clare have survived to dance next week :)

Last night the performances started at 6:10pm, with the results at around 9:30pm, but I think they said next Saturday the performances would start later, at around 8pm.

I loved the last series of this and I have caught the auditions too. I love this kind of show and I thought last nights was great. It was great to see Sadie and Joseph (last years winners) dance too - they were brilliant :)

Is anyone still watching this show ?? I'm loving it !! Although they probably didn't deserve to leave, I was really pleased to see Paul and Pamela leave tonight. I have really enjoyed watching JP and Stacey improve each week, and each week Stacey looks like she's lost more weight. I think that JP and Stacey should have gone tonight ~ but when will the judges learn, that when you bring someone down each week ~ the Great British public always seem to get behind the underdogs

My faves to win are Darrien & Hollie or Darren & Lana

I completely agree. They are fantastic and he's so unassuming. I'm addicted to these shows :guilty:

Lana lives in the same town as me! Her grandma is trying to get everyone in Chorley to vote for her! So I feel that I have to root for her to win! :thumbsup2

I really enjoyed last night's show, having missed it for a couple of weeks :(
I think my favourites at the moment are Hollie and Darrian .. but each time I see it, someone else seems to shine. I think one of the things that's making this series so watchable is that there's no outright obvious favourite to win.
Stewart, one of the finalists, is from the same Salsa club as DD at Cardiff University
He's no longer in the competition, but DD was sitting on the same table as him at their dance club ball last weekend and Claire rang him in the middle of the meal :teeth: DD said he was happy to chat about the show and to be in lot of photos, but declined with good humour when they asked him to dance to one of the tracks he'd (less successfully) danced to on the show! ;)

So did anybody watch this last night??, I thought it was fantastic. The right couple went in my opinion, and im hoping Darren and Lana win the competition, I thought they were superb :thumbsup2

I think Darren and Lana probably will win, although I wouldn't be disappointed if any of the others won. I can't imagine any of them walking away, winners or not, without someone giving them a professional contract... Maybe not Arlene, but someone! ;)

It's a great platform for all of them.

I think Darren and Lana are in a different class to the others - they have gelled as a couple and it shows in their dancing. They are also able to dance any dance to a high standard, whereas the others are all good at some of the styles, but not all of them.

I am loving this programme. I have been a big fan of Stacey & JP, and I'm so pleased that they lasted as long as they did, but it was their time to go last night. I really hope that Darren & Lana win too :)

Well, Holly and Darrien have always been my favourites but I really thought, until tonight, that Darren and Lana would win it. I think it was Holly and Darrien's outstanding freestyle dance that won it for them - it was just incredibly well performed.

Holly and Darrien may have won the title, but I bet there'll be plenty more professional contracts being signed after this competition :cheer2:
