I am staying at Pop Century in September, will the fact that I am single and female be taken into consideration when they allocate a room? I have put in a request for the 50's building.

When I'm solo, I mention to the CM checking me in that I'd like a room closer to the main building and they'll do their best to accommodate.

Good luck!!! :teeth:

I have done 2 solos trip to the Pop.

It is will lite. and their security guard actually checks your ID.

of course that didn't stop a thief.... so don't leave your valuables in your room....

I'm sure they'll do their best, but if there are no rooms close by, then there aren't.

WDW is very safe, and if you ever feel unsafe walking to your room at night, you can ask for a security person to accompany you just like you might in any hotel.

I stay up there about 4 times a year for longer weekends (other than day trips) I found that they usually will do their best to accomadate you if you mention you are alone. I was once given a ground floor room at the WL which I just did not feel comfortable about since the patio doors opened right to the pool, they moved me to the 3rd floor, I think one of the keys to being able to be moved is to check in earlier in the day, that way they have rooms that can be changed out before they have given a room to someone else. Although I have never felt unsafe on any Disney property.

You can ask and hope they have a room you'll be comfortable with, but honestly, I've never felt unsafe at Pop or WDW in general. When I'm at WDW, it's just me and DD and I've never been uncomfortable - and I tend towards the paranoid side when traveling alone. :)
