Hello everyone...new here. Just wanted to know if anyone has gotten married at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. If so, can you tell me about your experience or post pictures? This is one of the places I'm looking for my wedding.

I don't know this for a fact, but I've read in other posts that they've stopped doing the weddings at Animal Kingdom Lodge recently. Someone else should be able to confirm if this is correct.

I read that they stopped doing weddings there as well. I believe that it was because of an odd smell at certain times :confused3 Eventhough we aren't getting married there we did use it as one of our hotels for the room block! :)

Yes, I work in travel in the UK and in the Travel paper it said that Disney had stopped doing weddings at Animal Kingdom Lodge. They have had problems with odour especially when it is hot. It is such a shame as that location looked fantastic.

I tried to book the AKL for my wedding for May 07 and it had been discontinuted as a venue which I think is a real shame :sad2: In my opion its your choice to get married near animals so its only natural to expect the smell. :confused3
